Some people even compare him to “King of Knights”. Currently, most of his story that told from others are mixed between Facts and Legends. O God, please lead me the right way---.
Bond 1	Personality Because he is a very powerful servant as he could even compare to "Artoria-level", he isn't above to see himself as the best at any other activity and will not hesitate to show off his own abilities. But despite he is very arrogant, he never uses his own skills to taunt others, even he really loves competition. He also actually care about the people around him. (Similar to Tendou Souji, just like Tendou, he also walks in "the path of the heavens".) His speak manner toward his own master will change as the progress of bond level, while around LV1-2, his manner will be very formal and more serious tone, as he questioned how lazy the protagonist is, but around LV3-LV4, while he still questioning the protagonist, he speaks in more friendly tone and closing to "Tokusatsu hero" attitude (but not in same level as MHXX) and seemly understand that the protagonist need to rest. But after bond LV5, he will drop all of his usual manners and begun to talk more honestly and even mention his mistake in his own life. If MHXX is Showa tokusatsu hero, Yamato Takeru is more like Heisei tokusatsu hero. Bond 2	Prologue "Huh? Where is this place?" "I shall ask you. Art thou my master?" And...that how the so-called story of rewriting...	TL Fan Translation: He was supposed to be an ideal successor for Emperor Keikō, who has remarkable strength, wisdom, and courage, his father usually promises many things to him and loves him more than his own older brother. But his pride and power are increase even more as time passing, fearing that nature, the emperor sends his son to Izumo Province and then to the land of Kumaso to battle brigands and rebels and that not only time that the Emperor sent his son to fight, but that is beginning of Yamato Takeru’s legend. Even he obeying his father, it isn’t changing the view of his father how powerful and terrified he become. As the time pass, he has proved his heroic deed to his land, bestowed and praised by many people, including Yamatohime-no-Mikoto, who is his aunt and his father who feared him, and one of gift that he got from Yamatohime is “Kusanagi no Tsurugi”, the sword that once belongs to Susanoo. ---He defeats many enemies, includes bandits, rebels and even monsters aren’t far from his possibility, just how powerful the young prince can become.
Bond 3	Skill's Comments The reason why he got debuffs removing in his first skill because it can be referred to Yamato Takeru receive blesses from gods. At first, his Mana Burst suppose to increase arts performance, but I find it not really important, so I just remove it. Spirit of Yamato is an upgraded version of "Bravery". At first, I want damage buff similar to Siegfried, but that would make him too powerful, so I reduce it. Authorization from Heaven, at first I want this skill to be upgraded version of Shuten Douji's Demonic Magic (Protection), but after I find it very OP, I change it to be just Charisma with NP charging.	TL Fan Translation: Spirit of Yamato A Blessed by the Sun Goddess “Amaterasu”, empowered with the power of The Storm God “Susanoo”, the brave prince who fought many battles without fear, no matter who is his enemy, he manages to defeat via his wisdom and courage, that why he got the name “Yamato Takeru”. Authorization from Heaven A As a prince, he could command his father's army. In group battles, the abilities of one's own army are raised, cunning, yet selfless, that what he is. That being said, this skill evolved from “Charisma”, while by himself, his charisma skill supposed to be around Rank C, but because his blessed from deities, plus with his might, people that under his command will follow him without any question. Something, it not really wrong to assume that he using his blessing from gods to commanding his own army.
Bond 4	NP's Comments Ibaraki's bully. His actual gameplay is similar to Siegfried, but has a more overall attack power, but because he doesn't have any defense skill and low HP, leaving him to become "Glass Cannon" servant. Instead said "Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi", he prefers to use "Ame-no-Murakumo" instead, because of NP's name is too long and he could bite his own tongue.	TL Fan Translation: Heavenly Sword of Gathering Clouds Rank: A++ Type: Anti-Fortress Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi One of the three Imperial Regalia of Japan. The sword that believes to be Divine Construct that forged by planet or heaven. It’s a sword that able to cut anything, include ethereal force like fire. Because his sword is originally owned by Susanoo and blessed by Amaterasu, his luck is higher than how it should be accord to his own parameter. This sword is so powerful that it could burn his own body as well. This divine sword is usually appearing in a sealed form that known as “Kusanagi no Tsurugi”, the Grass-Cutting Sword that comes from the legend that Yamato Takeru cut the grass in order to remove the fuel from flame. This sword allows Yamato Takeru to conquer over wind and flame, even before release it’s true form, by releasing it, he can create the powerful stormy lightning ray that could kill even “Yamata no Orochi’, the legendary creature.
Bond 5	Excalibur's scabbard (AKA: Avalon) can heal the wound of the user. Similar to Kusanagi no Tsurugi, it would grant him many godly abilities. Both didn't see how much the artifact important is and leading to their downfall. (Despite I can't remember how Artoria loss her Avalon.)	TL Fan Translation: Because his sword and armor are blessed by the deities, without it, he just a mere human in that only relies on his strength and cunning. He failed the battle with the monster as he ignores his own wife’s advice to take “Kusanagi no Tsurugi” with him, he died from the wound and poison after he defeats the monster. ---His own fall is parallel to the fall of “King of Knights”, who think the sword is more important than the scabbard and die from unbearable pain.
Extra	Comment My fouth (actually fifth) fanmade servant. I hope you like it. Unlike other previous servants like Frederick and Booth, Yamato Takeru's lore is mixed between myth and fact in every version of his own chronicle, include Kojiki, Nihon Shoki, and Kogo Shūi. (Well, his story said to be somewhat problematic.) Before I join with this fandom, I was drawing him as a "female-saber face" in the paper (you will never see it.Template:Snek That was a really long time ago.) as Yamato Takeru and Arthur have a similar origin, accord to Anthropologist C. Scott Littleton, who described the Yamato Takeru legend as "Arthurian of Japanese Myth". PS. Sorry for my bad English, and if anything wrong or curious, please ask me. • Because Harmony can be translated as Wa (和^?), Saber of Harmony can be translated into Nihongo as Wa no Saber (和のセイバー, Wa no Seibā^?). Referring to the oldest recorded name for Japan.
  • But the true oldest recorded name is another kanji, Wa (倭^?) until Japan officially changed its endonym in the 8th century. (From Wikipedia)
• He is voiced by Maeno Tomoaki, who also the current voice actor for Kyo Kusanagi, the main protagonist of KOF, who has a connection with Kusanagi no Tsurugi.
