Though its origins and the identity of its creator remain shrouded in mystery, its mystical nature is undeniable. Exceedingly sharp, it possesses the power to repel evil and safeguard the realm. Thus, it accompanied the princess on her quest to vanquish the evil serpent. It also intervened to protect her from the its advances within her chamber. Remarkably, even while sheathed, the sword bore witness to countless events. It observed the natural disasters unleashed upon the castle town by the serpent's fury. It witnessed the clouds disperse under the influence of the princess's prayers and her hand mirror. It beheld the scorching heat of the mountain god drying up the serpent's pond. And perhaps it witnessed occurrences beyond the scope of any recorded tale. In any case, the sword remains an inseparable companion to the Takahashi princess. Like her, it reflects a multitude of meanings and memories—it too remains with the princess by the serpent’s side.
