Welcome to the Enma-tei.
Please, make yourself at home, my esteemed guests. ...Oh, my apologies, I just said that out of habit. Servant, Saber. The Tongue-Cut Sparrow, Beni-Enma. I am at your service. I'm looking forward to working with you. Welcome to the Enma Pavilion. I am delighted to meet you, honorable guest...is not how it goes, right. Servant; Saber. The Tongue-Cut Sparrow, Benienma. I have come here to offer my services. Please take care of me from now on.

My feathers are pretty now! Chirp chirp, I'm so happy!
My feathers have become lovely! I'm really happy!
| |
We're in Chaldea, so I can't stay dressed like the proprietor of an inn. I received this outfit from King Enma when I became a tormentor of hell.
Hehe, what do you think? Do I look dignified? This is Chaldea, isn't it? I can't stay in my proprietress getup forever. These clothes are from the time when I became a guard of Hell, given to me by King Yama. Fufu, how is it? Do I look imposing?
| |
Chirp chirp?
I guess I didn't change much. I was looking forward to something new, so I'm rather disappointed... Chirp chirp? I did not change much. A shame, I was looking forward to it a little...

Cheep! Beni-Enma's fully armed now!
Now feast your eyes on the stroke of the blade that even the oni at the banks of the Sanzu River feared. Behold...my servitude towards exaltation into paradise! Chirp! Benienma's fully armed! Let me show you the free-form swordplay I offered to the bliss of paradise, that struck fear into the onis of the Children's Limbo.
| |
Welcome to the Sparrow's Inn. I'll happily see to your reception, Master. This is just a token of gratitude for raising me so well. This place may be a small magoiya that pales in comparison to Enma-tei, but I will do my very best to show you hospitality.
Welcome to the Sparrow's Inn. It makes me happy I could invite you here, master. This was the least I could do to thank you for nurturing me. It's a small mayoiga that couldn't be compared to the Enma Pavilion, but I will entertain you to the best of my ability.

The sparrows will judge this soul...
I will not take your life. But I will not tolerate that deceitful tongue of yours! The court to determine the fate of the wicker box's contents...adjourns now! Sparrows: Yay! Come. . .
The tōrō nagashi[1] revised by the sparrows. I won't take your life. However, that duplicitous tongue of yours won't be forgiven! The travel of the wicker basket, the court, is hereby adjourned! Sparrows: "YAY!" | Voice: BGM: |
| Noble Phantasm 2 | |

Should you be a sinner, your crimes will be your death. Judgment by the Ten Kings, Wicker Box's Fate Sparrows: Yay! Enjaku Sewing Battōjutsu: Third Secret Technique. Sparrows: "YAY!"
| Noble Phantasm 3 | |
Clear the path, Enma is passing through.
The sparrow's affairs all depend on its flavors... Now go back to the five basics of flavor! Sparrows: Yay! Make way, make way, Yama is passing through! The verdict of the sparrows depends on taste too. Start over from the five fundamental seasonings!
Sparrows: "YAY!" | |
| Damage from Noble Phantasm | 「 |
I can persevere, chirp!
I'll persevere...!
| |
| Regular Damage | 「 |
Kwah!?
Kuah?
| |
Old man...I'm sorry I made you unhappy...
Grandpa...I'm sorry for causing you sorrow..
| |
My sword wasn't keen enough...
I did not sharpen my sword properly, huh...
| |
| Battle Finish 1 | 「
You look on me with contempt because I'm a sparrow. But now you know the fastest, shortest, and smallest sword-drawing technique!
You made light of a sparrow, didn't you? This is the fastest, most minimal and briefest iai technique.
| |
| Battle Finish 2 | 「
That'll do it. When we get home, you need to wash your hands and clean up properly, Master.
So that's how it ends. When we return home, wash your hands and rinse your mouth properly, Master.
| |
| My Room | |||
| Bond Level 1 | 「
Whether you are a Master or a Heroic Spirit, you should always remember that I will not tolerate unhealthy lifestyles as long as I'm around. I will be courteous to guests, and stern to those I work with. Chirp chirp, that is the serving style of Beni-Enma.
Master and Heroic Spirits be damned, I won't permit an unhealthy lifestyle. Polite with the guests. Strict with the master she serves. That's the Benienma-style servicing technique.
| |
| Bond Level 2 | 「
I've gotten used to life here in Chaldea. Being a Servant isn't as bad as it seemed. It's nice for a place to be full of people. And I see that you've been fighting for the sake of this kind of regular hustle and bustle. Chirp! Good job.
I've gotten used to the lifestyle in Chaldea. Being a Servant is not that bad. Being lively is a nice thing. You fight for this sake, don't you. What a good child.
| |
| Bond Level 3 | 「 |
Hehe, I admire how you work, Master.
I have nothing bad to say about your situational assessment in battle. Now if only you lived a more wholesome lifestyle... Well, I guess you can't do anything about that since it's so busy around here. Don't worry. I'll see to it that Master's health is protected myself. Fufu, what an admirable Master, you are. Your assessment of the situation during battle is perfect. It would be nice if you could lead a more orderly lifestyle... Well, it can not be helped with you being busy everyday. I'll take care of master's health properly.
| |
| Bond Level 4 | 「 |
Y-you're going to give me a day off!?
Master, are you going to die tomorrow!? Ch-chirp... Just a day off? I deserve it...after all the work I've done? Many years have passed since I was born in hell, and I've been working as long as I can remember...a break is such a luxury. But I am happiest if I am taking care of you, Master. Y-you're giving me a day off? Master, are you going to die soon!? Chi-chirp, chirp? It's just...a regular break? As thanks for everything...is it...? For someone such as myself, born in Hell eons ago, and who've been in service since gaining awareness, there is no higher luxury than this, but... For Benienma, serving master would make me happier...
| |
| Bond Level 5 | 「 |
I'm glad I came here. That is, I'm glad I was able to come here.
I am a torture demon of hell. I am an oni that should be feared, but I've received only a kind reception from others. Whether it be you or the old man, Beni's blessed to have met such nice people, chirp. I will never forget your kindness, and I will repay you until the day I die...no, even AFTER I die! When Master makes the journey to the next life, I will make sure to give the biggest and flashiest performance for you at the trial! I'm glad I came here. No, I'm glad I was brought here. I am a prison guard of Hell. Despite being a fearsome oni originally, the expressions directed at me were always warm. For me to meet such kind people like master and grandpa, Beni is truly blessed. I have decided to return such kindness till the day you die, no, even after that! When master falls to Hell, this Benienma shall cause a violent fight in the courtroom!
| |
Chirp, is it quest time?
Have a nice trip, Master. Did you pack yourself a lunch? A quest, right? Have a safe trip. Do you have the onigiris?
| |
I am going to fight proudly, now that I've become a Servant.
And of course, I will manage Master's health as well. I've been fighting splendidly since I've become a Servant. Naturally, I've been taking care of master's health properly too.
| |
Is my sword-drawing iai helpful?
It is? Ch-chirp! Then all's well! Is my iai of use to you? It's helpful? Chirp chirp. It's great if that's the case.
| |
(Sigh) ...Even though her cooking's improved, Tamamo can still do much better...
Her seasoning of "love" is just so extreme, her husband would get fat after a month. It's not right to try to raise a delicious human herself... Her cooking ability has improved, but Tamamo is still not there yet. With her using the seasoning known as love in such excess, her danna-sama will grow fat in a month's time. What is she trying to accomplish by raising a human according to her tastes?
| |
Kiyohime's cooking is dynamic, but then again anything can turn out good if you use enough fire and oil. That's not what home cooking is all about.
Looks like I'll need to beat the art of Tenzo food prep into her once more at the temple. While Kiyohime's cooking is quite stirring, nearly anything would turn delicious if fire and oil were to be employed. That's not all home cooking is about. A tenzo's[2] teachings/doctrine will have to be drilled into her in the temple one more time
| |
Teaching Osakabehime cooking is like putting a chick back into its egg and having it start all over from the beginning.
Chirp, chirp... I guess my only choice is to slice her up and have her reincarnate in another world... To teach Osakabehime cooking would be the same as returning a chick to its egg again and making it start over. ...Chirp chirp. As expected, there is no choice but to put her to the sword and having her reincarnate in a different universe.
| |
Suzuka Gozen can stay the way she is. There are some people who just can't do intricate cooking no matter how hard they try. It's much like someone not being able to reach enlightenment just by reading a book.
A roughly prepared dish is fine as long as it's nutritionally balanced and seasoned well. Really, what she needs to do is to find herself a husband! Suzuka Gozen's fine the way she is. In society, there are also people who can't cook up even a meager meal no matter what they do. It's the same as reading a book, but not understanding it. Even if it's some crude cooking, it's alright if it can give serve as nourishment and satisfy your tastes. Next, you just have to find yourself a husband.
| |
What exactly is Tomoe?
Is she a sad monster who only knows how to uncork heads? She does things like stuff rice balls into other rice balls... Does she not understand the concept of creating side dishes? She forces one to bite into daikon radishes without thinly slicing them first... Does she WANT Lord Yoshinaka's mouth to bleed? What is Tomoe? A pitiful monster that can't do anything other than twisting off heads? To put an onigiri inside an onigiri, does she have no concept of side dishes? Munching on daikon without even cutting it into thin slices, do you want Yoshinaka-sama to cough up blood?
| |
I am an oni from hell, but it looks like they are oni of this world.
...I sense that there's divine and royal blood running through Shuten-Douji, but I sense that Ibaraki-Douji and I are somewhat similar. ...I guess she also used to be human... I am an oni from Hell, but from the looks of it, that one's an oni of the present world. I can sense the blood of a high-class god from Shuten Dōji, but Ibaraki Dōji has a smell similar to mine. ...She must have been a human, originally.
| |
Master...Master!
C-c-could that magnificent-looking person be the great Tawara Touta!? I would very much like to use one of Lord Touta's arrows as a ceremonial ward and offer it to our dedication shrine! Master! Master! C-c-could that fine gentleman over there be Tawara no Tōta-sama!? By all means, let's decorate Tōta-sama's arrow as a ceremonial arrow used to drive off evil in the Enma Pavilion's offering hall!
| |
That farmer...he sure has some nerve...
How dare he use a move called "Swallow Reversal." It's laughable that he calls it a Mystic Sword that just cuts down swallows. Chirp chirp? Why does that farmer look like he's creating copies of himself? Multi-Dimensional Refraction Phenomenon? He does ALL that just to cut down a swallow? H-h-he's not right in the head!!! That farmer's quite the cheeky one. What's the big deal about that Tsubame-gaeshi's of his? A mystic sword merely for cutting a swallow is absurd. ...Eh? Why did that farmer appear to have multiplied? Dimension warping? He'd go that far just to slay a swallow? ...De-de-deviant────!!
| |
That lovely girl is called Nursery Rhyme? I don't know why, but I feel a sense of relief when I see her, chirp.
I wish I could be friends with her...but she seems a little scary... That lovely little girl's name is Nahzeree Raim, right. I don't really get it, but she looks warm and fluffy. It would be nice if I could befriend her. ...However, her origins seems a bit scary...
| |
| Something you Like | 「稲が大好きでち。
I like rice.
I've studied many recipes, but come to the conclusion that the best dish is still a rice ball made with good rice! I love rice. I have studied various forms of cooking, but in the end, what I've ended up with is onigiri made of white rice.
| |
| Something you Hate | 「
I will not tolerate those who pick on the weak!
Hm? Is lying okay, you ask? Sometimes one has to lie. It becomes a problem when the lie troubles others. I know of a kind liar who made others happy while they themself led a lonely life. Bullying the weak is unforgivable! ...Hm? Are liars fine, you ask? Making lies is something inevitable. The question is whether that lie brings trouble to a person or not. ...I know a kind liar, who, living in solitude all by himself, brought happiness to those around him.
| |
| About the Holy Grail | 「
A Holy Grail that grants wishes...
Cheep, cheep. I didn't know such a thing existed in the Western world. But that's nothing. Did you know that in Japan, there's a bale that pours out an endless supply of rice!? The wish-granting Holy Grail. Chirp chirp, there was something like that in the Western world, right. However, it still has some way to go. Japan has a bag that could bring out infinite amounts of rice, after all.
| |
| During an Event | 「 |
Is there some sort of big event happening?
That means the cafeteria might see some good business. May I build a food stall as an Enma-tei branch shop?
I hear that today is your birthday, Master. I wish you would have told me earlier.
Cheep cheep... As the proprietress of Enma-tei, a surprise like that does not deter me as I am an able sparrow. I've opened up Enma-tei's Big Spender room for you. Which do you prefer: The bounty of the sea, or bounty of the mountains? I've heard it's your birthday today, master! I wish you told me about this sooner...chirp. No problem, I am the proprietress of the Enma Pavilion, a sparrow that can respond properly to any unexpected situation, after all. I shall open the Enma Pavilion's luxury suite for you. Fruits of the sea or fruits of the land, which one do you prefer?

A sense of gratitude changes based on the guest's satisfaction. The harder you work, the more tribute builds up.
| |
Tamamo, Kiyohime, Tomoe... The problematic students of Jigoku Kitchen have arrived...
Cheep, at least it's better than having Osakabehime and lady Suzuka here too...
Before you head off to your next task, you should read the announcements.
I guess they're called "information"? Osakabehime wrote them for me.
I guess this is all there is right now.
I suggest you try making a wish by ringing the bell now and then. After all, that is also a show of gratitude.
Looks like you've saved up a lot! Is the Master of Chaldea an expert at hospitality!?
| |
Chirp chirp, that's so amazing♪
You are such a good entertainer. When you're done being a Master, would you want to become head clerk for Enma-tei?
There's no need to put more money in the offering box. This should suffice for your prayers to dispel bad luck for the year.
You did very well. Beni is happy for you, chirp.
You managed to collect the gratitude I saved up for a whole year in such a short time.
Nobody received divine punishment, so all's well that ends well. But now Beni's a little worried. I'm concerned that you might have overworked yourself.
Just for the New Year, the Enma-tei's souvenir shop is now open!
Chirp chirp, I hope you can trade for a lot!
Did you collect items? Chaldea's Master sure does work hard. Good, good.
| |
Thank you for your exchange!
The items I receive from you are purified at the Sanzu River, and are then distributed among various markets.
You can exchange for more, you know. How about some Sparrow-brand sewing scissors as a souvenir?
| |
