Default	平安時代、大江山に城を構え、鬼を束ねた頭領。 酒呑童子の出自には諸説ある。 伊吹山の伊吹大明神（＝八岐大蛇）と人間の子であると見なす説、戸隠山（＝九頭龍）の申し子と見なす説。いずれにせよ龍神の子であり、坂田金時と共通の背景を持つ。	NA NA Localization: The leader of the oni of Mt. Ooe during the Heian Period. There are multiple legends surrounding Shuten-Douji's origins. Some say she is the child of Ibuki Daimyojin (Yamata-no-Orochi) and a human. Others say she is the heaven-sent child of Mt. Togakushi (Nine-Headed Dragon). Either way, the fact remains that she is a child of a dragon god. She shares a common background with Sakata Kintoki.

Bond 2	京で若者や姫君の失踪が相次ぐため、安倍晴明が占ったところ、酒呑童子の仕業であることが判明する。 討伐を命じられた源頼光率いる頼光四天王は、山伏を装って鬼の居城を訪れる。 酒宴にて頼光らは酒呑童子たちに毒酒を飲ませ、寝込みを襲って、これを成敗した。 斬り落とされた酒呑童子の首は頼光に襲いかかるが、神より与えられた兜によって阻まれたという。	NA NA Localization: In the imperial capital, the daughters and youths of noble families began to disappear one after another. Abe-no-Seimei's divination revealed that Shuten-Douji was the one behind it. Minamoto-no-Raikou, along with the Four Heavenly Kings, disguised themselves as Buddhist monks and infiltrated the oni's lair. During the banquet, they convinced Shuten-Douji and the other oni to drink poisoned alcohol, and in her weakened state, they finished her. It is said that after being decapitated, Shuten-Douji's head suddenly attacked Raikou, but it was stopped by the helmet Raikou received from the gods.

Her alias, Ibuki-Douji, was coined by Ibaraki-Douji, who noticed Shuten's power came from Yamata-no-Orochi. Perhaps Shuten forgot about something as trivial as her past. As long as there are delicious wines, extravagant parties, and pleasurable appetizers, there will be no hatred in her heart.

Because Kintoki was fun to tease, it was not uncommon to invite him to parties. To Shuten, it was nothing more than a banquet, but to Kintoki, they were demonic feasts that would claim his life if he ever let his guard down. "Wouldn't it be fun? To try to kill each other while drunk, or try to deceive each other as we are ever so intimate." At least, that was her excuse.

• Saṃghāta Hell Berserker is her alias in Shimosa Main Quest.
• She has the highest ATK values out of all Assassins.
• She shares the exact HP values at minimum with Artoria Pendragon (Lancer Alter), Francis Drake and Ozymandias.
• The writings on her blue-white wine bottle read Daiginjō (大吟醸), literally means "Very Special brew", which is one of the highest quality levels of sake.
• Daiginjo, which literally means "big ginjo," is often the most prized bottling of the sake brewery, representing the height of the brewmaster's ability. A minimum of 50% of the outer rice layers must be polished away to classify a sake as daiginjo.
• Her bob cut and height (145 cm) are same as her voice actress, Yūki Aoi.
