Originally, she was a low-ranking god called Nalakuvara in Hindu mythology. She became known in China as a Buddhist guardian god, and was ultimately added to Taoist teachings as the child god Prince Nezha. She is still worshipped and known mainly around China and Eastern Asian regions to this day.

Nezha appears as a key character in the "Investiture of the Gods."

In "Journey to the West," she appears in order to subdue Sun Wukong (who was running amok in the Heavens) and is also sent by the Lord of Heaven multiple times to help Monk Sanzang's party throughout their journey.
Original known by the name of Nalakubar, a lower tier deity of Hindu mythology as well as the guardian god of Buddism, eventually conveyed to China and became accepted into Taoism as the God of Young Boys・Prince Nezha. In modern days it has been worshipped by many across central China and East Asian Region.

Debut as a major character in "The Investiture of the Gods".

In "Journey to the West", she was first seen intercepting Sun Wukong who was causing rampage across the heaven, subsequently being sent by the Heaven Emperor to assist the group of Master Sanzo during their trip on multiple occasions.

『Flying Bright Spirit, Fire-Tipped Spear』

Rank: A
NP Type: Anti-Army
Nezha's scorching charge attack propels her into the sky using acceleration from the Wind Fire Wheels. She then becomes one with her spear and rushes the enemy at full speed.

It is a powerful technique designed for the decisive battle against Sun Wukong, the Great Sage, Heaven's Equal. As a Lancer, Nezha uses this technique to draw out the maximum strength of her Noble Phantasm, the Fire-Tipped Spear.

Ascending to the sky by super acceleration of Wind and Fire Wheels, literally forming one entity with the spear and deliver a descending assault of burning charge attack.

During the decisive showdown with Monkey King・Sun Wukong, Nezha developed this supreme technique to bring out the maximum level of power of the Lancer Noble Phantasm・Fire-Tipped Spear.
Bond 4

Nezha is neither human nor a sage. She was born from a jewel sent to earth by Taiyi Zhenren, the sage of the Kunlun Mountains.

In addition to the Universe Ring and Red Armillary Sash that Nezha possessed at birth as her Baobei (treasured objects), Taiyi Zhenren presented Nezha with new Baobei at every opportunity. Among them were the Demon-Slicing Sword, the Demon-Hacking Blade, the Demon-Tying Rope, the Demon-Defeating Pestle, the Embroidered Sphere, the Wind Fire Wheels, and the Fire-Tipped Spear.

Growing up on earth, Nezha was not evil, but she was still something of a ruffian. When a god scolded her for polluting a river, Nezha killed the god, and even killed a higher ranking god. She was scolded for her actions, and it seemed disaster would befall her earthly parents, so she took her own life.
From the beginning, Nezha was not human.

Born with a pearl that was dropped down to the human world by an immortal of Mt. Kunlun Taiyi・Zhenren as her core, she has an awkward existence as both human and immortal.
From birth, she had magical items such as Qian-Kun Quan(Universe Ring) and the Hun-Tian Ling(Red Armillary Sash). Nezha subsequently received other magical items from Taiyi・Zhenren: Demon-slaying Sword, Phantom-slaying Blade, Ghost-binding Rope, Evil-conquering Staff, Embroidered Sphere, Wind and Fire Wheels, as well as Fire-tipped Spear.

While Nezha was growing up in the human world, she was not wicked, but she was an arrogant and violent child. Accused of polluting the river, she killed the accusing god and even its superior gods. Soon after, as she was blamed for bringing disaster to her human parents, she was compelled to commit suicide.

After multiple complications, Nezha was later resurrected as the spirit of a lotus flower. Her revival was helped not only by Taiyi Zhenren, but also by the Buddha himself.
Having been summoned as a Lancer, Nezha's nature is closest to that of the Buddhist guardian found in "Journey to the West." If she had been summoned as the violent Nezha immediately prior to her suicide, she would likely have been a Berserker.
After that, through twists and turns Nezha was revived as the spirit of a lotus. The resurrection was not only the effort by Taiyi・Zhenren, but also the assistance from Shaka・Nyorai.
Summoned as Lancer, a guardian of Buddhism in "Journey to the West" with a strong personality. Perhaps she could have been a Berserker if she was summoned as a brutality of cruel nature just before committing suicide.
Clear Interlude 1
Extra ……

As it happens, Taiyi Zhenren was quite nonchalant about assigning a gender to his creation, so Nezha was actually treated like a child who had yet to reach puberty.

This means that Nezha's body, post-resurrection, does not share the gender she had in her past life...and it's too late to do anything now.

Nezha is proud of her body's origin and functions, but the moment the topic of her gender is brought up, she becomes awkward and uncomfortable.
... By the way, Taiyi・Zhenren is completely indifferent when it comes to the gender of a divine construct. Nezha was originally handled as a young boy before his secondary sexual characteristics began to develop.

Meaning after her revival, Nezha's body was configured into a different gender than what she was in life, but it is already too late.

This is why, while Nezha once boasted pride in the origin and abilities of her own body, when the conversation turns towards gender, she begins acting nervous.
April Fool あばれんぼうサーヴァント

むかしは大変な暴れん坊だったが今は正義のヒーロー。いつのまにかカルデアにいたことになっていた。ぶっきらぼうだが熱血漢で、見るからに火属性でかっこいい。

Mischievous-Type Servant

Nezha was once mischievous and naughty, but now she is a hero of justice. She just sort of...turned up at Chaldea one day. Seems kinda expressionless, but is truly passionate at heart! She is fire elemental just by look, and is super awesome.
