  • I was attempting to add Saint Martha (Ruler) to the showcase and... she's not showing up. I wondered if maybe the template was getting too many template sub-process calls, so I started cutting out the tooltips. That's helping the uniformity, but Saint Martha (Ruler) still isn't showing up in example #2. What am I missing? Ejep520 (talk)

    • I fixed it and cleaned up the template code a bit. As far as I know templates shouldn't have a problem even with such a big amount of parameters. Still a good idea to remove those tooltip templates, I'm sure that must have looked weird when only a few icons have tooltips.

Anyways, the reason Martha didn't work was rather simple: You forgot to add the parameter to Template:Servantshowcase itself. Without adding it there too, the parameter won't be passed to Template:Servantshowcase/Basic and it will simply not show up. I see you probably already knew that though, as you already added Kid Gil last month.

  • Hi there! I attempted to add Geronimo to the template and... oops, I didn't realize that parts of the template were hidden. I'm pretty sure I did the bit I could do correctly, but it didn't work when I attempted to apply it to my profile page. Could I please ask you to add this servant to the showcase template?
    Thanks!

    • I just checked it, it seems all of the servants from the America singularity are still missing from the template. I'll add them.

Your edit was fine by the way, but as you noticed they didn't work, that's because there wasn't a variable for Geronimolevel on the Servantshowcase/Basic template yet. That one is a bit hidden, as you said, which makes basic editting like this a bit more complicated in order to simplify the template use for inexperienced end users.

Anyways, going to fix it now. Thanks for bringing it up.

  • Thanks for fixing my profile. Was that a misspelling in the template's documentation or was it deeper than that?

    • It was caused by a mismatch of variable names between the Servantshowcase template and the Servantshowcase/Basic template (which is called by the former to process the input into the actual table).

I actually caused the mismatch myself when I was editing the Basic template a few weeks back to fix the links of Cu and ProtoCu in the showcases. So when I saw your comment on ChuckTerry's wall and looked into it, it was an simple fix. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
