Formerly sealed away as waste at the edge of Void Space, she is a High Servant who was extracted and recreated within the Abyssal Cyber City, SE.RA.PH, just like her fellow Alter Egos Meltryllis and Passionlip. This Alter Ego is a giant capable of growing infinitely, and has the highest output of the entire Sakura series.
Alter Egos are typically an amalgam of several goddesses, and Protea is no exception; she is composed of the essence of the archetypal mother goddess that most mythologies have in common. This even includes Tiamat, the grand mother of ancient Mesopotamia.

Same as the other Alter Egos, …… Meltryllis, Passionlip…… a High-Servant removed/reproduced at the Deep Sea Cyberbrain City SE.RA.PH.
A giant that grows infinitely, she has the greatest output from among the Sakura Series.
Alter Egos are complexes of multiple goddesses, but Protea is made from the essence of the Earth Mother Goddess that is shared by all mythologies.
Among them, the grand mother that appears in Ancient Mesopotamia, Tiamat, is also included.

ＢＢが持て余した激重な感情から生まれた電脳生命体、サクラファイブのうちの一騎。
見ての通り巨大な霊基を持ち、無限に成長する怖ろしいエゴを持っている。放置しておけば宇宙規模の災害になる危険物なため、ＢＢの手で虚数空間の底に封印されていた。
オリジナルのキングプロテアは『愛に飢えた無垢な幼女』だったが、電脳都市SE.RA.PHで解放されたキングプロテアはSE.RA.PH再現者の影響か、成長途上の知性を持つに至った。
精神年齢的には14才ほどで、引っ込み思案な、儚げな少女像。ただし愛に対しては貪欲なので、奥手ムーブをしつつ、ぐいぐい行動してくる、スキンシップ大好き少女。人前に出たがらないウサギだと思ったら人懐っこい大型犬だった、というギャップが凄い。
非好戦的だが、戦いが『嫌い・怖い』といったワケでもない。戦いになれば相手がどれほど弱い相手（低レベルな相手）だろうと容赦なく殲滅する。心になんの痛みも感じないまま。
幸か不幸か、プロテアは自分が残忍な破壊神である事に無自覚なのである。

One of the Sakura Five, a cyber lifeform born from BB's excessive and clingy emotions. As demonstrated by her massive physique, she possesses a giant Spirit Origin and terrifying ego that grows infinitely. Had she simply been left to her own devices, she would have become a cosmos-level catastrophe, so BB sealed her away in the bottom of Void Space.
The original Kingprotea was an innocent girl craving love, but when she was unleashed in the Abyssal Cyber City, SE.RA.PH, she gained a developing intellect, likely because of the person who replicated SE.RA.PH. She has the mental age of a fourteen-year-old, and is the epitome of a shy, frail girl. However, because she is hungry for love, she is aggressive even while acting innocent, and is very touchy-feely. It's like she gives off the vibe of a shy rabbit, but in actuality she's like a very friendly big dog.
She is not combative, but that doesn't mean she either hates or fears battle. Should she go into battle, she won't hesitate to annihilate her targets no matter how weak or low level the target is, and she will feel no pain in doing so. Fortunately (or unfortunately) Protea is not aware that she is a brutal goddess of destruction.

She has a gigantic Saint Graph, as it can be seen, and possesses a horrific ego that grows infinitely. Since she is a hazardous material that would cause a disaster of universal scale if left unattended, she was sealed at the bottom of the Space of Imaginary Numbers by BB's hands.
The original Kingprotea was an 『innocent little girl hungry for love』, but the Kingprotea released at the Cyberbrain City SE.RA.PH, perhaps for the influence of the reproducer, has gained knowledge from half-way of growing up.
She has the image of a little girl that is about 14 years old in terms of mental age, introverted, and fickle. However, she's greedy for love, so she pulls moves like those of a late bloomer, behaves positively, and is a girl who loves skinship. The gap between resembling a rabbit that won't come out in front of others or a friendly large-breed dog is amazing.
She is not belligerent, but it's not as if she 『hates/fears』 fighting. When it comes to battle, she will exterminate the opponent without mercy no matter how weak (of low level) they are. As long as she doesn't feel pain in her heart.
For good or for evil, Protea isn't aware about she herself being a cruel god of destruction.

インド神話における神話の一つ、乳海撹拌の逸話をモチーフにした宝具。

アムリタを作るには世界を覆う海・乳海を撹拌せねばならず、神々は敵であるアスラたちと協力し、マンダラ山を軸にして世界を回して乳海を撹拌、多くの生命と霊薬を生み出したという。
アイラーヴァタはその際に乳海から現れた巨大な白い象の名前である。
カルデアに限定召喚されたキングプロテアは、常に『圧迫』されている。
それは世界からの抑止力であり、電脳世界ではない物質世界の限界でもある。
この宝具はそんな『圧迫』を一時的にはね除け、プロテア本来のサイズに戻る固有結界。
もはや人間では一望できないサイズになったプロテアはシンプルに、ただ一撃、敵に対して手足を振るい、これを殲滅する。

The Giant Shadow That Emerges from the Sea of Life.
A Noble Phantasm that is based off the story of Samudra Manthana in Indian mythology. In the myth, it is said that the gods sought the nectar of immortality, the Amrita, in order to survive on the desolate surface land. To create the Amrita, the ocean of milk (Kshirasāgara) surrounding the world needed to be churned. The gods formed an alliance with their enemy Asuras, and began churning the ocean of milk, using Mount Mandara as the axis, and created many life-forms and elixirs. Airāvata is the name of one of the giant elephants that was created from the ocean of milk during that process.
The Kingprotea that has been summoned for a limited time in Chaldea is perpetually suppressed. This is due to the world's repressive power, set by the limitations of the physical world, which do not exist in the cyber world.
This Noble Phantasm is a reality marble that temporarily throws off this suppression to allow Protea to revert to her true size. Protea, as a giant so large that no normal human can see her entirely, flails her arms and legs to annihilate the enemy. In the original, she herself was treated as a Noble Phantasm, but she was able to manifest her own Noble Phantasm in the cyber world in exchange for her Spirit Origin's rank decreasing.

Airavata King Size.
A Noble Phantasm that uses one of the myths of Indian mythology, the anecdote of the churning of the Ocean of Milk, as a motif.
Since the gods continued living in the devastated ground, they sought the miraculous medicine of immortality, Amrita.
The ocean that covers the World, the Ocean of Milk, had to be churned in order to make Amrita, so the gods cooperated with their enemies, the Asura, and stirred the Ocean of Milk by spinning the World with the Mandala Mountain as its axis, and birthed several lives and elixirs.
Airavata is the name of an enormous white elephant that appeared from the Ocean of Milk at that time.
The Kingprotea that has been summoned with limits is always being 『pressured』.
That is by the Counter Force from the World, and is also the limits of being summoned in a material world that isn't the digital world.
This Noble Phantasm is a Reality Marble that temporarily pushes aside that 『pressure』, and in which Protea returns to her original size.
Protea, who has become of a size that can't be seen completely at once by humans, can simply, with one attack, just by swinging her limbs against the enemy, annihilate them.
Originally, she herself was treated as a Noble Phantasm, but in exchange for her Saint Graph being ranked-down from at the Deep Sea Cyberbrain City, demonstrating a Noble Phantasm has become possible.

何を考えているか分からない天然系。
基本的にはいつもお腹が減っている（愛を求めている）ので、周囲にあるものを手当たり次第食べてしまう食いしん坊キャラ。
姉妹であるパッションリップに近い性格（引っ込み思案・内弁慶）だが、羞恥心が薄いため、アクティブに見える事も。
口数が少ないながらもコミュニケーション、スキンシップを求めてくる大型犬。
イメージ的には『愛らしい小さな小鳥がいるぞ、と思って近づいてみたら、見上げるほど大きな小鳥だった』といったもの。
基本的には忠実な巨大ロボット……もとい、サーヴァントとして従ってくれる。
口数は少ないが、『愛してほしい』『誰かに選ばれたい』『優しくされてみたい』という欲求があるので、無口ながらもマスターにはコミュニケーションを求めていく。
夢は『かわいいお嫁さんになりたい』。
『かわいい』と『お嫁さん』は別の単語ではなく、『お嫁さんであれば無条件でかわいい』と捉えているので、可愛い……すなわち『人間サイズを維持すること』はまったく考えていない。

Though she may say little, she is like a big dog seeking communication and physical contact. Approaching her is like walking towards a bird that one thinks small and cute, only to realize the little bird is absolutely massive on getting closer...
Basically she is like a loyal giant robot...er, an obedient Servant. Since she craves love, wishes to be chosen, and wants to be treated kindly by others, she seeks interaction from Master subtly and silently.
Her dream is to become a cute bride. The terms "cute" and "bride" aren't mutually exclusive to her. Rather, she thinks that cuteness is a given when one becomes a bride. It's strange to think that she doesn't associate cuteness with maintaining normal human size...

Saint Graph-wise, she's always hungry (seeking love), so she's a gluttonous character that haphazardly eat anything around her.

An id_es skill, born from her desire for growth, based on the Self-Modification skill. It enables her to scale up infinitely. When she reaches maximum level, her specs are increased to enable further level cap growth. This can be repeated infinitely, and is also called infinite growth. She is a cosmically massive catastrophe capable of destroying planets, but the larger she grows, the more she loses her intellect and complex function. Thus, her normal intellectual form would self-destruct from the inability to tolerate this skill.
This skill used to be a nonstandard rank EX, but its rank has downgraded since Chaldea's summoning system was unable to replicate it. Growth begins the moment it is used, and the value caps that are increased are permanent until Infantile Regression is used.
Infantile Regression: C
The shackle BB placed upon Kingprotea. A safety device put in place to restrain her infinite growth. It returns her to her original size and stats, and resets her enlarged ego. When this skill is used, the growth from Huge Scale is reset to zero, though she gains NP corresponding with the growth stage she had reached.
Field Pulverization: A
When that giant Spirit Origin is used to its fullest to attack, it not only smashes the enemy unit, but the entire field is considered to be the target. Even spells cast in the spatial realm are pulverized by her punch. Really, this skill aims to resolve everything with her fists. However, as Protea gained a heart, she has sealed this skill.

A technique to manipulate space and to crush it with a punch, truly a skill to 『solve everything with violence』.
However, Kingprotea, who has awakened her『heart』, has sealed this skill.

渇愛のアルターエゴ。
深海電脳都市において、キアラのSE.RA.PH化が進む過程で“SE.RA.PHに付随するもの”として再現されてしまったもの。
（※メルトリリス、パッションリップの二騎は『二騎を取り込んだキアラ（と同期したもの）』がキアラの意志で摘出したものだが、キングプロテアの再現はキアラの意図によるものではない）
本来なら誰に見つけられる事もなく、
誰に出会う事もなくSE.RA.PHキアラと共に泡に消える筈だったもの。
サーヴァントになってからはマスターからの命令を待つ……というより、命令が大好きになる。
これは命令される＝愛してもらえている、という喜びからと、プロテア自身が自分に自信がないため。プロテアは自分が廃棄物だと分かっているので、常に『後ろめたい』のだ。
外の世界にも新しい人間関係にも興味がなく、ただただ、マスターの愛情を求めている。
無垢な求愛、一途な献身と言えば聞こえはいいが、その関係は綱渡りのようなもの。
プロテアは『マスターが好きだから愛している』のではなく、『マスターが愛してくれるから好き』という、恋を知らぬままの愛しか知らないのだ。
マスターからの親愛が途絶える……愛が感じられなく、物足りなくなる……となれば、プロテアはその空腹に耐えきれなくなり、いずれマスターを捕食してしまうだろう。
結局のところ、他のアルターエゴたちと同様、プロテアも歪んだエゴから生まれたもの。
マスターの命令には素直に従うが、絶対服従ではない。キングプロテアと契約したマスターはそうなる前に、プロテアの精神性を成長させなくてはならない。
汲めども汲めどもつきぬ『渇愛』からの脱却。
求めるだけの心では相手を食い潰すだけであり、互いを認め、あたえ合う関係こそが『心の糧』になる事を。

When Kiara's SE.RA.PH evolved within the Abyssal Cyber City, she was recreated as something that accompanied SE.RA.PH.
(*Kiara deliberately extracted Meltryllis and Passionlip to use and synchronize with herself, while Kingprotea's recreation was not something Kiara intended.)
Under normal circumstances, she would never have been found, and would have vanished like a bubble along with SE.RA.PH Kiara without ever meeting a single soul.
But since becoming a Servant, she waits for Master's orders...or rather, she grows to love receiving orders. This is because she has no self-confidence, and so she takes joy in believing that being ordered around is the same as being loved. Protea is constantly ashamed of herself, since she is aware that she is a waste byproduct.
She has no interest in the outside world nor other humans, and simply seeks for Master's love. Calling it an innocent advance or blind devotion sounds nice and all, but in reality, it's a dangerous relationship, like walking a tightrope. Protea does not love Master because she has feelings for them, but simply because Master loves her, which shows that Protea only knows love without understanding true feelings of endearment and closeness. Should Master's affection run out, she will cease to feel love, and she will quickly become unsatisfied. Should that ever happen, Protea won't be able to endure her thirst for love, and will devour Master.
Ultimately, Protea is just like any of the other Alter Egos, born with a twisted sense of self. She will obediently follow Master's orders, but her submission is not total. In order for that to happen, Masters who form a contract with Kingprotea will need to further develop her mental state and essence as a being. This is also necessary for Masters to be able to escape Protea's inexhaustible, deep yearning. She will need to learn that her incessant coveting only devours and exhausts her targets, and that a healthy relationship means both parties partake of mutual love for one another.

Saying it's an innocent courtship, and an earnest devotion sounds good, but that relation is like a tightrope walking.
Protea doesn't 『love Master because she likes them』, but 『likes Master because she loves them』, she only knows love without knowing romance.
If Master's deep affection comes to an end…… If she can't feel love, if it isn't enough…… Protea won't be able to endure her hunger, and eventually will prey on her Master.
After all, same as the other Alter Egos, Protea was born from a distorted ego.
She will honestly obey her Master's orders, but she isn't absolutely obedient. Before becoming the Master to contract Kingprotea, Protea's mentality must grow.
Outgrowth from the 『craving』that she keeps pouring and pouring.
With a heart that just seeks she eats and crushes, and accepts each other, the presented relation will really become『food for thought』
