Yet, she herself looks discontented. Coming from the Higo-Kumamoto Domain, she studied at a young age, and learned the art of war. She was involved in many murders as part of the Sonnō Jōi faction, but apart from having murdered Sakuma Shōzan in broad daylight, nothing clear has become known. It seems she was gentle and polite in peaceful times, but due to her also having the ruthless mentality to murder people without qualms, she was called names like “Gensai the Viper”. It is said that her sword style was self-taught, and that she was an expert at drawing the sword with one hand. She specialized in parting from a stance low enough to sink one knee in the ground and draw her sword for a sure-kill, reverse diagonal slash towards the shoulder. She survived the turbulent Bakumatsu and welcomed the world of Meiji, but was shunned by the new regime, eventually accused of her crimes, and after being tied in jail, she was beheaded.

A divine-level drawing sword technique unleashed from a stance so low that she sinks one knee into the ground. The drawn sword released at an impossible speed that surpasses the ordinary laws of physics is sublimated into a slash whose blade is literally one dimension above. A convergent Noble Phantasm which she showed a glimpse of in her past life despite not having stepped into this domain, but that, as she was summoned as a Servant, was sublimated/acquired by overcoming several predicaments. The released slash interferes with the flow of the successive time coordinates in which the target exists, and tears them to pieces along with the space. The time which temporarily lost its continuity becomes a space-time rift, and since the target loses its existence in that rift, they are consequently bisected. Because it simply is a temporary space-time interference, the spatial correction occurs immediately, so at a glance it can only be seen as if they were suddenly bisected from outside her range. A mystic sword that cannot be blocked since, as per its workings, it can invalidate any sort of defense and let the blade come through. It is believed that defensive Noble Phantasms on the same dimension, or perhaps of a higher dimension, can defend from it. Strong courage is the true identity of Gensai’s sword, which can even pull the result of cutting something she has decided to cut. She believes without a shred of doubt that she can kill a person if she thinks about cutting a person, the sky if she thinks about cutting the sky, and the gods if she thinks about cutting the gods. A sword beyond reason that at times surpasses even reality, by putting the saying of “Even a fool’s thought can be forced through a rock” into practice. Nevertheless, it’s a double-edged sword that, in the case of performing a sword draw that reaches the aforementioned space severance, which could be called a maximum release, will make her Spirit Origin receive enormous damage from the recoil.
