A kind, articulate young man, he's a little self-conscious about the frightening glare he always seems to have, but he's really quite amicable. He loves mathematics, and is constantly calculating or tabulating something. Perhaps he will make waves in mathematics, or become a great teacher... Whatever path he chooses to take, his future is bright!
He stands at a crossroads. Does he abandon his pursuit of glory, or sink into evil?
Ah, but that decision was made long ago.
I shall be the very avatar of evil.
An agreeable and eloquent young man. He's quite sociable despite his scary eyes, an issue that he's working around to solve. He loves mathematics and always spends his time counting and calculating. He's on his way to astound the world with his maths, or maybe following the path of education. Who knows? Either way, his future is promising.
He was approached with a choice. "Will I abandon glory? Will I turn evil? You didn't even need to ask. The answer was decided ages ago. I'll be the ruler and arbiter of evil."

While he may initially come across as bright and cheerful, once you learn that he will grow up to be a scheming old man in his fifties, his demeanor changes to match. As the future Napoleon of crime, he has evil charisma to spare.
His First Ascension shows what he's like as a clever college friend, or perhaps a high school classmate who agrees to share his notes but never lets you hear the end of it. His Second and Third Ascensions are more of a conscious choice to perform what he believes he will, or perhaps should, be in the future. However, it is almost impossible to see through this performance, as he tends to reinforce these self-imposed beliefs so strongly that even he forgets he's actually just putting on an act.
That said, he is still well aware that he lacks the evil charisma of his fifty-something self, and can't help but wonder what the difference is.
He initially faces others as a cheerful and likable young man, but when they know about his future as a schemer grandpa, he changes his behavior accordingly. He switches into another mode. The wicked emperor, the Evil Charisma.
In his first Ascension, he takes the role of a toxic friend from college or a high school classmate lending his notebook while ruthlessly criticizing you.
The second and third Ascensions are where he starts actively playing the character of the person who he will be in the future and is currently trying to be. Except that by intentionally convincing himself of his own scenarios, he forgets that he is acting, making the farce almost impossible to see through.
But he's a little concerned... his 50s self is unquestionably an evil icon, and yet something about him feels out of sync.

Conspiracy Formation: EX
A skill that is similar to, and yet nothing like, Territory Creation. Enables Moriarty to weave plots just like a spider weaves a web. Originally A+, it went up to EX thanks to this young Moriarty's innate ability to weave conspiracies without any conscious effort whatsoever.
Panic Cut: C+
Somewhat similar to Disengage, this skill enables Moriarty to stand back and reassess a scheme no matter how chaotic things may be at a given moment. Prevents him from being affected by mentally destabilizing debuffs.
Mathematical Thinking: A
Enables Moriarty to use razor-sharp mental calculations to constantly determine the optimal action in a given combat scenario.
Huh? You want me to take part in the combat, too?
Slide Rule Weapon: B++
Moriarty's slide rule is no ordinary tool; it is capable of transforming into any sort of weapon imaginable.
Um, excuse me? How did this happen to my slide rule?
As we said, it is a tool capable of transforming into any sort of weapon imaginable.
Roll of the Dice: EX
Later in his life, Moriarty will be faced with a choice. Should he go down the path of evil, or devote himself solely to mathematics? Although he carefully calculated every other decision he made in all his life up till then, he decided to entrust this choice, and so his fate, to the dice. What would they decide?
• Conspiracy Creation: EX
A Skill similar to Territory Creation. It allows him to stretch out a spider web of schemes. Its rank was supposed to be A+, but it becomes EX for the young version of Moriarty because it enables him to lay out his conspiracy without trying.
• Panic Cut: C+
A Skill similar to Disengage. No matter how confusing a situation gets, he is able to devise a plan B. It blocks mental disturbance debuffs.
• Mathematical Thinking: A
Through precise calculations, he can always make the best decisions in combat.
"What? Combat? Why would I ever fight anyone?"
• Slide-rule Weapon: B++
The slide rule in his hands is no mere ruler. It's a multi-weapon, capable of morphing into any weapon.
"Excuse me? Who did this to my ruler and why?"
It's a multi-weapon, capable of morphing into any weapon.
• Choice of the Dice: EX
In his future, Moriarty will be pressed to make the choice of his life. Will he become evil or live the path of mathematics? He lived up to that moment calculating everything, but this one decision was the only one he left up to a dice roll. The result:

『Mathemalignancy: Annihilation』
Rank: B++
NP Type: Anti-Personnel
Range: 1 - 10
Maximum Targets: As many as the number of evil people in the vicinity
A Mathematical Extraction of Evil.
"MMA" for short, which is not to be confused with the popular combat sport. This Noble Phantasm extracts and lays claim to any latent wickedness in all targets currently on the field. Barring some especially saintly figures or mechanical life-forms, there is no being in the world absent at least some manner of wickedness within, so by extracting it, those beings are essentially rendered powerless. The reason for this is simple: without any wickedness, they also lose the will to fight and kill, which tends to be an important thing to have in the middle of a fight. Thus, if a target should be robbed of theirs while fighting, they are left all but defenseless.
◆
『The Dynamics of an Asteroid』
Rank: B
NP Type: Anti-Personnel
Range: 1 - 10
Maximum Targets: 10
Incomplete Final Equation.
A still unfinished mathematical formula for destroying an entire planet. While it could be used to unleash immense destructive power, the young version of Moriarty has chosen to seal this Noble Phantasm away. Why? Quite simply, because the equations are not yet finished, which means this thesis (read: Noble Phantasm) is still far from complete. If you look closely when his professor self says to him, "Pardon my layman's ignorance, but I have a question," you can actually see his hair stand on edge.
Mathematical Malignant Annihilate (Mathematical Malevolence Extraction)
Rank: B++
Type: Anti-Unit Noble Phantasm
Range: 1-10
Max. targets: up to the number of evildoers present
MMA, for short. Not to be confused with Mixed Martial Arts. It extracts and steals the malevolence of all targets on the field. Every creature has malevolence, except mechanical lifeforms and those who attained sainthood. Extracting them works towards effectively depowering targets. That's because this malevolence includes feelings necessary for combat, such as fighting spirit, hostility, and bloodlust. If you lack those in battle, you're doomed to fall behind.
◆
The Dynamics of an Asteroid (Incomplete Final Equation)
Rank: B
Type: Anti-Unit Noble Phantasm
Range: 1-10
Maximum targets: 10 people
The yet-to-be-completed formula for planetary collapse. It could be used as Noble Phantasm to cause major destruction... but Young Moriarty sealed this Noble Phantasm. That's because his equation is still incomplete, and as such, it's a thesis not ready to be defended as a Noble Phantasm. The professor gets startled when he receives a question from someone in the defense board.

The devilish boss of the criminal organization which practically controlled all of Europe from behind the scenes. An incredibly cautious man, nobody knows his true identity; even the people of his own organization remain ignorant.
However, this version of him is who he was before all that—a young Moriarty, still full of hope, and with a promising future ahead of him. Even so, his important life choices have already been made, and he knows he will continue on the path that will lead him to become a cruel, cold, calculating villain.
In his youth, Moriarty had his soft spots. He was even still a bit mentally fragile in some respects. In fact, his true personality at this point in his life is much more "friendly youth" than "scheming villain," a quality that is most clearly visible when he isn't wearing his makeup. Even the older Moriarty is proud of the man he used to be (and he certainly isn't shy about showing it, much as the young Moriarty wishes he would stop).
Although this Moriarty may claim that he sees Holmes as no more than an obstacle, it's clear that he actually spends a great deal of time thinking about his detective adversary. While he is still set on achieving his goal of becoming a charismatic villain in the future, he's also begun looking for different ways of being an evil boss thanks to the Master of Chaldea and his fifty-something self's influence.
The boss of a devilish organization with strings stretched all over Europe. He is so cautious that no one, not even within his organization, knows who he is.
This Moriarty is summoned from before that, when he was a young man with a promising future filled with hope. That said, he had already made the most important choice of his life, so all he had left to do was ruthlessly and relentlessly brave the path of evil.
He was a mildly better person during his younger days and had something of a fragile self-esteem. He gave off the impression of a very pleasant young man, especially without his makeup.
"Can you believe I used to be like that?", says the aged Moriarty with his smuggest grin. The younger Moriarty finds him very unpleasant.
Young Moriarty commits himself to the claim that Holmes is nothing but a mere obstacle to him... Anyone can tell he actually can't get the detective out of his head.
His objective of becoming the Evil Charisma in the future never changed, but after learning from his experiences with Chaldea's Master and Professor 50s, he's striving to become a different kind of evil boss.

In Traum
Even though he wasn't the Singularity's source, Moriarty was the one to appear as the final boss. In the time leading up to that, he met with Kriemhild, Kōnstantînos XI, and Pope Johanna, and encouraged them to continue waging a deadly war between their respective realms. Moriarty had multiple goals in this Singularity, one of which was to make a complex situation even more complex (particularly focusing on the kind of complexity Moriarty was personally quite fond of).
First, to arrange a stage on which to kill Sherlock Holmes once and for all.
Second, to sow further chaos throughout the Singularity and prevent the Foreign God from suspecting his true motives.
And finally, to leave Chaldea so desperate, they would turn to him as their savior.
This is why he first acquired the essences of the three Norse goddesses of fate: Urdr, Verdandi, and Skuld. Thanks to their ability to measure and spin threads of fate, he was able to nullify all attacks directed at him by declaring it was not his fate to be injured, and to remove all obstacles in his way by declaring it was his fate to overcome them. However, as Mash pointed out, even this power has a weakness: if used to overcome your fate in a dramatic fashion, it punishes you with significant and unavoidable debuffs. After all, defeating your archrival as the protagonist in your own tale inevitably means bringing your tale to an end, which in turn means you can no longer be the protagonist. This is why Holmes agreed to challenge Moriarty one-on-one; he hoped to more dramatically raise the story's stakes, as it were. Were it not for Holmes's loss, Chaldea might never have been able to defeat Moriarty.
In the end, Moriarty and his Spirit Origin vanished into the ether, but not before leaving behind one last unbelievable mystery.
• In Traum:
He's the final boss, but not the main culprit. He contacted Servants such as Kriemhild, Constantine XI, and Pope Joan, and requested them to fight a war between Realms.
Moriarty has multiple goals in the Singularity, which complicates his situation. (Moriarty loved the complication)
Step one: arrange a substructure to whittle down Sherlock Holmes. Step two: make the Singularity more chaotic and tumultuous to prevent the alien god from suspecting him. Step 3: drive Chaldea to a corner and approach them as their new savior.
He acquired the Norns as the components he needed for these goals. Urðr, Verðandi, and Skuld. Through their power to measure and weave the strings, he neutralized all attacks by establishing he wasn't fated to get hurt and removed all obstacles by establishing he was fated to overcome them.
...But, as Mash pointed out, this power has a weakness: it will inevitably weaken after he overcame a dramatic fate. The protagonist can't remain the protagonist for much longer after defeating his arch-enemy.
Holmes challenged him to a one-on-one battle to increase the dramatics of his fate. You could say Holmes's defeat lead to a victory down the line.
In the end, he presented the most amazing riddle before his Saint Graph fully vanished.
