Another name for Shuten-Douji, specific to the Ibuki Mountains in the Omi region. Ibuki-Douji, born in most unnatural circumstances—being a child of oni—grew up in the mountains, eventually gaining frightful supernatural powers.
It is said that she migrated to Mt. Ooe and became the great monster Shuten-Douji, who gorged herself on blood and plunder in the capital...

NA Localization:
Her divine aspects are quite prominent, and she is very aware that she is part of nature. As such, she tends to act on her own primal urges. Accordingly, she has no intention of integrating or establishing relationships with the world of human culture and civilization. Though she may create the impression of a certain naivete, an ignorance of the pleasures of alcohol, a lack of experience with the finer luxuries of life, or even an innocence of the madness that so often takes people in the course of their lives, the moment she loses herself to her desires, she proves to be entirely unstoppable. So long as she is not provoked, she remains quite harmless, though she is at the same time far more dangerous than Shuten-Douji.
The moment she shows interest in something, she grows extremely attached. As long as the object of her affection continues to exist, she is prone to simply staring at it for extended periods. More often than not, when she so much as touches her obsession, she destroys it. At the very least, she brings such profound unhappiness to it as to end in the poor unfortunate's death. As her other aspect is an oni, she is especially drawn to other oni. Additionally, beings of the same types as her (children of divine dragons) tend to draw her keen interest as well.

The above purports to be a description of Ibuki-Douji's nature, but the version of her which has manifested in Chaldea has proven to be a bit...different.
She has been...completely beguiled by the modern world.
Fan Translation:
Her nature as a "god/kami" is quite strong and her self-awareness of being a part of nature (the world) is quite intense.
She acts according to primitive desires.
She doesn't really feel like coming into contact with humans and their culture/civilization.
She makes a face as if she is unaware of the depths of alcohol, the delicacy of human lives, and the pleasure of indulging in a moment of insanity, however...
Once she immerses herself in desires, she will be completely unforgiving.
Without any incentive, she is harmless, but she could be said to be even more dangerous than Shuten-dōji in a certain meaning.
Once her interest is piqued, she'll be strongly fixated on its object.
While the target of her interest exists, her eyes will always be fixed on them.
Usually, she'd stretch her long fingers towards them, touch them and destroy them completely───or, she would corrupt them and guide them to their death.
The oni species to which her other aspect belongs to can easily pique her interest. Naturally, existences similar to her (children of a dragon god) would also make her eyes sparkle.

...The above is the original Ibuki-dōji's nature, but the circumstances of the one that materialized in Chaldea are somewhat different.
She is
totally influenced
by the modern era.

根が神であるがゆえ、人間と完全に同じ目線に立つことはできないまでも、その言動は「現代社会に馴染んで過ごす英霊／神霊のお姉さん」のそれである。
人間がどういったものであるかも相当に学習した素振りがある。
マスターを含め、他者に対して誘惑や挑発まで行ったりもする。
どうやら何処かで現代社会を学んだか、同じように現代社会に馴染んだ英霊と出会い、その記録をカルデア式召喚の特殊性をいいことに無理矢理に持ち越してきたのではないか、と英霊シャーロック・ホームズは推察を述べているが、事実かどうかは分からない。
宝具の真名解放等、本気を出すと、生来の性質である「神／カミ」としての振る舞いに戻るようではあるが、普段は気楽に「ヘビお姉さん」としての自分を愉しんでいるようである。

なお、幼体形態時（第一段階の霊基）には、
「ヘビお姉さんの伊吹」と「神／カミとしての伊吹」の両者が混ざったような言動を見せる。
本人が「脱皮したら危ない」と語っているのは、
恐らく「神／カミとしての伊吹」のことだろう。

NA Localization:
Her divine nature makes it largely impossible for her to see the world in the same manner as humanity does, but she tends to present herself as a big sister of sorts, behaving as if she has perfectly acclimated to the modern world. She seems to have studied a great deal about what it means to be human. She may even try to tempt or provoke those around her, including Master. Sherlock Holmes believes she either studied modern society somewhere, or met a Heroic Spirit who had, like her, grown more acclimated to the modern world. He believes that she was then able to use Chaldea's unique summoning system to her advantage to somehow bring that information with her into this manifestation. The truth, however, remains a mystery.
The moment the True Name of her Noble Phantasm is revealed, however, she reverts immediately to her more divine aspect. Even so, she seems to tremendously enjoy her persona as a carefree "big sister snake."

As a side note, when she is in her juvenile form (her First Ascension), her manner of speech and behavior are a mixture of her "big sister snake" and more divine personas. Her warnings about being "dangerous when she molts" likely refer to this more divine part of her aspect.
Fan Translation:
Since her origin is that of a god, she can't look at things from the same standpoint as a human being, her words and conduct is that of "a big sister of a Heroic Spirit/Divine Spirit who's gotten way too used to modern society".
Her behavior shows that she's studied up on what human beings are like.
She even tries to seduce and arouse others, including the Master.
The Heroic Spirit Sherlock Holmes speculates that she either studied about modern society or perhaps met a Heroic Spirit who, just like her, was used to modern society and that record was forcibly carried over by the special characteristic of the Chaldea-style summoning system as something useful, however it remains unknown whether that is the truth or not.
She returns to her behavior of a "god/kami" that is her innate nature when she releases the True Name of her Noble Phantasm or when she gets serious, but usually, she's enjoying herself as a carefree "snake big sis".

Furthermore, when she's in her juvenile form (the Saint Graph of her first stage), she displays a speech and conduct that is like a mix of "snake big sis Ibuki" and "Ibuki as a god/kami".
The person in question saying "If I molt, it will get dangerous" is probably "Ibuki as a god/kami" speaking.

A compound skill that includes Divinity. It should be inconceivable for her to possess Divinity since her legend says she is part human...but since Ibuki-Douji is also the child of Yamata-no-Orochi, she retains this skill at a high rank. Should she be reduced to an oni, she loses this skill, and it is replaced by a lower-ranked Divinity.
Octo-Pulsing Billow: B
A skill that inherited the nature of the flood deity, one of the aspects of Yamata-no-Orochi. It represents Ibuki's unchanging physique which destroys all things with its raging aggression.
Fingertips of Defilement: A
The loss of purity, a lack of honor, and finally death. Anything Ibuki-Douji touches is rendered impure, and may not exist in the presence of gods or humans. This skill may be categorized as an offensive skill, but it also grants additional effects against the dead, Demonic Beasts, and fallen gods even in conversation.

Since, according to the legends, she is a mixed race with a human, it should be difficult for her to possess the core of a god, however...

記紀のスサノオ神話に曰く、高天原を追放された素戔嗚尊は出雲の国に降り、生贄である奇稲田姫（くしなだひめ）を救い、巨大な怪物を退治したという。
この怪物こそ八岐大蛇、
八頭八尾を有した赤眼の怪―――
八つの谷と峯にわたる超大さを誇る、巨大な蛇。
日本最大の災害竜であった。
素戔嗚尊はこの大蛇（竜）を打ち倒し、その尾から一振りの神剣を得た。
剣の名は草那芸之大刀。
別名を草薙剣、天叢雲剣、都牟刈の太刀。
のちに熱田神宮に奉納され、三種の神器のひとつとして定められたという。
伊吹童子は、父たる八岐大蛇が身の裡に有していたこの神剣を宝具として操る。
真名解放の一斬たるや、八つの谷と峯を切り拓き、八つの大河を新たに生み出す程に恐るべきものである……が。伊吹童子曰く、これは神剣のほんの僅かな輝きを一時のみ借り受けたもの。真価はこの程度ではすまない、とのこと。

According to the "Kojiki" and "Nihon-shoki," a man called Susanoo-no-Mikoto, who was exiled from Takamagahara, came to the nation of Izumo where he saved a woman named Kusanadahime from being sacrificed, and killed a giant monster in the process. That monster was the eight-headed, eight-tailed, red-eyed creature Yamata-no-Orochi...a gigantic serpent whose body spanned over eight valleys and eight peaks. It was Japan's largest rampaging dragon.
Susanoo-no-Mikoto managed to defeat this giant serpent and obtained a divine sword from its tail. The sword was called Kusanagi-no-Tachi, also known as Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi, and Tsumugari-no-Tachi. It was later kept at Atsuta Jingu as one of the three sacred treasures of Japan.
Ibuki-Douji wields this divine sword that was inside her father, Yamata-no-Orochi, as her Noble Phantasm. Upon its True Name release, the sword becomes a weapon so terrifying that, a single swing of it cuts open eight valleys and peaks and creates eight great rivers. However, according to Ibuki-Douji, the Noble Phantasm only wields a tiny fraction of the divine sword's brilliance, and temporarily at that.

According to the Susanō myth from the Kojiki and Nihon-shoki, it is said that Susanō-no-Mikoto, who was exiled from Takamagahara, descended upon the province of Izumo, saved Kusanadahime who was offered as a sacrifice, and exterminated an enormous monster.
That monster was Yamata-no-Orochi, a red-eyed demon with eight heads and eight tails───a gigantic snake that boasted of a length spanning eight valleys and peaks.

Susanō-no-Mikoto defeated this large serpent (dragon) and obtained a divine sword from its tail.

Later, it was offered to the Atsuta Shrine and designated as one of the Three Sacred Treasures of Japan.
Ibuki-dōji uses this sacred sword that was inside her father's body as a Noble Phantasm.
It is such a fearsome weapon that a single swing from it upon the release of its True Name blows away eight valleys and peaks and gives birth to eight large rivers...
However, according to Ibuki-dōji, this is nothing but momentarily borrowing the slightest of glitters of the divine sword.
Its true value wouldn't stop at something of this level.

その意味では、やはり、本来の伊吹童子の性質が大元にあると見るべきか。

坂田金時とは「過去に足柄山で会っていた」模様。
人の仔とも鬼の仔ともつかない怪童として
足柄を彷徨っていた彼に出会い、
なんと相撲をして大勝ちしたのだとか。
その後、伊吹童子は消えることになる。
死した訳ではなく、
生きながらにして別の存在、側面へと変化したのだ。
すなわち大怪異「酒呑童子」としての精神と形態へ。
それぞれの証言を繋げたところ、
伊吹童子と酒呑童子は、一定或いは不定の期間ごとに、
互いに入れ替わりながら存在していたようでもある。
「今は我（あたし）の番」
「次はうちの番」
という次第で―――

In her original form, Ibuki-Douji wouldn't recognize the Master who summoned her as anyone special. Maybe she still sees all humans as the same. Her behavior would probably change after she learned to distinguish individuals. Should she take an interest in you, it would be wise to exercise caution rather than see this as a cause for celebration. Her touch is the touch of a god, and not even poison defense magecraft or anti-poison skills can completely neutralize its effects. That said...ever since she materialized at Chaldea, she's been acting as though she and Master are very close. Okay, in fairness, she's been acting that way with everyone. She'll probably need to deepen their relationship considerably if she's ever going to be able to tell Master apart from anyone else. In that sense, it's safe to assume that Ibuki-Douji's true nature hasn't changed.

Apparently, she once met Sakata Kintoki in Ashigara a very, very long time ago. The story goes that she ran into him while he was wandering aimlessly around Ashigara as the child of neither human nor oni, and soundly defeated him in a sumo match. Shortly following this encounter, Ibuki-Douji disappeared. That's not to say she died, though. Rather, she simply transformed both her mind and body, changing into a different aspect of herself: namely, Shuten-Douji, the great monster.
After piecing together testimony from both parties, it seems Ibuki-Douji and Shuten-Douji came into existence by trading places with each other for a defined, or sometimes undefined, length of time.

"Then it'll be my turn next."
And so on...

Originally, Ibuki-dōji wouldn't really give any special attention to the Master that summoned her.
It may be due to her viewpoint being too skewed; recognising humans as a whole and not as separate individuals.
If she became able to view them as individuals, her behavior towards them might slowly change.
If they were to grow interested in you, you must be vigilant first before rejoicing about that.
Her fingertip is "that" of a god so even poison-proof magecraft or anti-poison skills wouldn't protect you from her.
Still...
The Ibuki-dōji that materialised in Chaldea behaves in an intimate way towards the Master.
Strictly speaking, she behaves in a friendly manner with everyone.
For her to recognise the Master as an individual, they probably need to build a relationship that would present a chance for such a thing to come to pass.
In that sense, as expected, one must see if the original Ibuki-dōji's nature stems from her roots.

It seems that she encountered Kintoki on Mount Ashigara in the past.
He met her while wandering Ashigara as a monstrous child that was neither the spawn of men or oni and suffered an overwhelming defeat at her hands in sumo.
After that, Ibuki-dōji has disappeared.
By no means did that mean that she passed away; she lived on, having transformed into a different existence, a different aspect.
In other words, she changed into the great yōkai, "Shuten-dōji", in both mentality and shape.
By connecting each testimony together, it would appear that Ibuki-dōji and Shuten-dōji existed by alternating with each other at certain or uncertain intervals.

Tsuchinoko-Type Servant
Shuten-Douji's Mount Ibuki form. She starts out as a newly-born girl, but she gradually evolves into a delinquent mature woman through Ascension. Nobody knows what would happen if you raised both her and Shuten-Douji together. Don't try it.
