NA Localization:
Penthesilea is an Amazonian queen of Greek mythology. She is the daughter of Ares, and is said to have multiple sisters, including Hippolyta, whose girdle was stolen by Heracles.
After the death of Hektor, the Amazon military led by Penthesilea sided with Troy, and fought against the Achaean forces.
And thus Queen Penthesilea engaged in a duel with the enemy's hero, Achilles. Its conclusion resulted in the greatest humiliation of Penthesilea's life.

Penthesilea is a queen of the Amazónes (Amazons) from Greek Mythology. A daughter of Ares, supposedly she has several sisters - including Hippolyta, whose belt was stolen by Heracles.
After Hector's death, the Amazónes troops lead by Penthesilea assisted the Trojan forces and fought against the Achaean army.
And then, Queen Penthesilea ended up having a personal duel against the enemy hero, Achilles. Its conclusion was, for sure, the last and greatest disgrace of her life.

Calling her "beautiful" was probably reflexive on his part.

Indicates that she is destined to be a perfect beauty, like unto a goddess, no matter how she is raised.
Her beauty was said to have made many mistake her for a goddess during the Trojan War. That's why, when Achilles removed her helmet...

However, whenever she is confronted by Achilles, her sense of reason evaporates. She has a similar, if not as powerful, response to seeing any of the loathed Greek heroes.
Calling her beautiful may also elicit a similar response.

Warriors that fight by her side are emboldened and strengthened by the roar, as if led by the God of War himself.

She unconsciously refuses to manifest as the perfect incarnation of beauty she was seen as in her later years. Said form is what caused her great humiliation, so she considers herself when she possessed such beauty to be outside her prime.
If she was summoned as an adult from the Trojan War, an estimated five to ten years later, she would have likely been summoned as a Lancer, Archer, or even a Rider.

Probably because, since said form was what yielded her greatest disgrace, she thinks that "the age when I had such beauty is not my golden age".
