Um...why the heck is it electromagnetic? It's a miraculous gadget, chock-full of mysterious functions. He created it out of a belief that an ordinary shamisen would be boring since quite a lot of effort went into summoning him as a Servant. This incredible gizmo combines nonsensical technology and practical joke elements, like liquid metal blades and serivng as a three-stringed machine gun.
