Mechanics[]

  • Advanced Quests are quests to test your skills using only your Servants. (Special Party)
  • They appear permanently in Chaldea Gate.
  • You can attempt Advanced Quests anytime if you fulfill the requirements to unlock them.
  • Rewards for clearing Advanced Quests are special Craft Essences that boost item drop rate.
  • From February 28, 2022 18:00 JST, you can repeat Advanced Quests as many time as you want (Clear Rewards, Bond EXP, Master EXP, and item drops are only obtainable in the first time clear).

Tips & Tricks:
Defeat the Storm Lion alone and do not worry about the rest of the enemies. However, the Storm Lion is hiding in the backrow and will not appear until 4 turns have passed.
- The gimmick to this battle is that the Storm Lion will not appear unless the Battlefield is turned into a Storm field. Each Barking Mad Dog has a trait called Signs of the Storm , which will help later on when we need the battlefield to remain constantly stormy. However, the longer Storm Lion remains on the field, the more times it is able to stack Critical Rate up (100%) (5Turns) on all its allies and self with the Signs of the Storm trait . Once the Storm Lion is defeated, all the other enemies will retreat and the battle ends.

-Tezcatlipoca, the Weatherman!
Seems like Tezcatlipoca is the very best servant for this particular quest. His 3rd skill is able to disable the Sunlight from the battlefield and get the Storm Lion to appear early on. Other battlefield changes do not seem to work apparantly. For the beach field traits, there are only 2, so adding in another field entirely will not make the Storm Lion appear. it is by eliminating the sunlight trait from the battlefield that it will switch over to it's other variant trait and make the boss appear early on.

Since the clear condition is to just defeat the boss, it is recommended to prepare a single target Noble Phantasm attacker with maxed out buff and enough firepower to take out an enemy over 700,000 HP.

Glittering Crown: Arjuna gains several benefits depending on what type of card hits him.

Card Type Benefit
Buster Arjuna gains 20% Atk Up for one turn.
Arts Arjuna charges himself by one tick. Can only be triggered once per turn.
Quick Arjuna gains 10% Critical Rate Up for one turn.
Extra Arjuna gains a status effect that increases his number of actions by 1 for one turn.

All buffs in the table above can be removed.

Hero of the Endowed: Every turn Arjuna gains a 75% resistance to one card type (1 turn, Unremovable), and 75% resistance to either NP or crit damage (1 turn, Unremovable). Hitting him with a damage type he's resistant to on a turn will lower his Death chance by 40% for two turns. The resistances are applied in a set order, but a set is chosen at random at the start of the battle.

Card Resistance Order = Quick > Arts > Buster

Damage Resistance Order = Crit Damage > NP Damage

Hitting Arjuna with an attack that uses both resistance types will only lower his Death chance once, and the Death chance debuff can be blocked by Arjuna's Clairvoyance (Bowman).

Black Mantra: Increases Arjuna's Crit Rate by 50% for 2 turns, and applies Tooltip for 25px|link= a delayed buff to himself that will remove all party buffs at the end of the player's turn.

Roar of the God of Flame: Arjuna gains Sure Hit and 50% Crit Damage for 5 turns each.

Sigurd has access to all three of his skills and has NP5 Bölverkr Gram. He has a 30% chance of using either Crystallized Wisdom or Self-Modification as his first action each turn while on his first and second bar. On his third bar he'll have a 22% chance to use Crystallized Wisdom or Self-Modification, but if he's under 50% HP he'll gain access to Dragon Modification and raise the chance back to 30%. Dragon Modification is not upgraded, while Bölverkr Gram is.

Wisdom of a God = Always active. Each turn before the player gets to attack, Sigurd applies an effect on himself depending on the types of buffs the player frontline has at that moment. All effects last for one turn and are removable, and Sigurd can't apply effects to himself if he's immobilized or Skill Sealed.

The buffs Sigurd can apply to himself are:

If the player has two or more instances of the buffs listed above active, Sigurd will randomly apply one of the effects associated. "Let's break it down." has half the weight of the other effects, and as such will have a lower chance of being chosen this way.

At the start of the fight, Sigurd will use Unrivaled Strength.

Unrivaled Strength = Applies four stacks of Invincible (1 Time, Unremovable) to self. Also applies Attack Up by 50% while Sigurd has Invincible (3 turns, Unremovable) on self, as well as Mental Debuff Resistance by 100% (3 turns, unremovable). This skill will be reapplied at the start of the turn if Sigurd is not immobilized or Skill Sealed, and is not under the effects of Invincible or Mental Debuff Resistance.

"More power to you!" = Applies four stacks of Invincible (1 Time, Unremovable) to self. Also applies Attack Up by 30% (3 turns, Unremovable) and Defense Up by 30% (3 turns, Unremovable).

Changes depending if Sigurd has Invincible buffs active or not.

"Ultimate power and wisdom!" = Used if Sigurd has Invincible active. Applies six stacks of Invincible (1 Time, Unremovable) to self, applies Attack Up by 50% (Unremovable) and Defense Up by 50% (Unremovable) to self, and applies Attack Down by 50% (5 turns, Removable) and NP Strength Down by 80% (5 turns, Removable) on the player frontline.

"More wisdom to you!" = Used if Sigurd does NOT have Invincible active. Applies four stacks of Invincible (1 Time, Unremovable) on self, and applies Attack Down by 50% (3 turns, Removable) and NP Strength Down by 80% (3 turns, Removable) on the player frontline.

Brynhildr and Brynhildr (Berserker) gain an effect on entry that gives them 2x class advantage against Sigurd. Defensive class advantage stays the same.
