>Please do not post any Fanarts or Wallpapers without any proper credit to the original artist/illustrator
Please respect an illustrators work and properly credit them with a link to their own website or any kind of account. (3rd party sites such as danbooru, gelbooru or zerochan are acceptable) This includes but isn't limited to, Fanarts posted on User Pages, Blog Posts or Comments. We wont be meticulously hunting these posts, but would rather encourage self awareness, to act responsibly and respectful with other people's work. In the rare occurrence that we do stumble upon any such posts, we will remove them without notice, or consequence.
For any questions please see below, or just ask away, I'll answer hat I havnt covered in the FAQ yet.
FAQ:
>Probably what everybody's wondering rn, Why?
>Well good question, honestly there's a lot to say.
It's been a thing exclusive to the discussion zone so far, but this is about respect and the artists, not us.
Many artists don't like their art being reposted to begin with, and many have removed certain pieces or entire galleries because people kept stealing their illustrations. Sourcing them gives others the opportunity to take a peak at the illustrators' other works, potentially follow, like and support them, shows your support for them, assuming you like them, and goes to show you're no common internet person, who just goes around throwing around other people's intellectual property without a care in the world.
There's work put in fanart as well, lots of it, a museum is gonna leave names as well.
>What'll be deleted?
>Clearly Uncredited Fanarts. As mentioned we wont be hunting these down, but would rather hope for you all to do it yourself. But if we do find them we will merely remove them.
No consequences, no mentiones. Which is to say, we wont tell you, we wont warn you, and we wont hold it against you or anybody else in future either.
Unless you do it so incredibly often, or even purposefully, in which case we will ask you to stop, das it.
>What is fine as a source?
>We would encourage to link directly to the artist, but 3rd party sites are acceptable. --> danbooru, gelbooru, zerochan, ect.
Not all of them always link to the artists diirectly, but we wont fret over it if it's there.
>What counts as a "proper credit"
>A link. A hidden link. Clicking the image and sending you to the source. Anything really. But it should be on the same page/in the same commment/message.
In case you did it yourself, any indication as to that would be great.
What if the illustrator took it down? Welp tough luck, maybe danbooru still has it.
>Whats considered a fanart?
>Well pretty much anythign that wasnt drawn by that specific Servants'/CE's illustrator, or otherwise said:
everything not drawn by the original artist or under the supervision of LS is fanart, let's say Azusa draws Caenis, it's art from the official artist, if he draws Barghest, that's a fanart.
>What happens if I post something else that includes a fanart?
>Something like a screenshot of your PC/Phone or maybe one fo those fancy edited rayshift supports?
Yee no, that's too much of a grayzone to judge so we wont.
Also real pictures taken with a camera dont count either so no worries there.
>Do I have to credit my Profile Pic?
>No. As said this rule brings no consequences with it, so not like we can do anything against it.
But that would still be neat, some people have really cool PFP's and just being able to find the OG image and liking that, leaving the artist a follow, would be real neat.
