She is definitly more of a boss killer/CQ servant than farming. Although you can probably do some multicore shenanigans with her and some of the other sakura five for that juicy 100% battery. I'm trying a setup with Kingprotea rn and it works kinda well against cavalry enemies, however you definitly need higher NP levels on both for 90+/90++ nodes.
Kazura + Summer Melt probably also works or just double Kazura.
Having too much of something is always better than having to little
The ascensions rewards are permanent
We'll probably see in the upcoming JP anni, if it's really only once per account. Which I highly doubt.
You have an HP time limit in every battle, if you are not on the immortal team. BG just slightly accelerates this.
The end result isn't the same though. You are done almost twice as fast. That is half the turns you have to worry about enemy attacks and skills. It doesn't make it more tricky, it makes it less tricky.
I don't think these videos do your argument any favor. The run where both Izos used BG was almost twice as fast done as the one without, which i would say is actually quite a lot of improvement. And that is without any external charge except the 20% from Asclepius.
Also both ended woth only 1 Izo remaining on the field and everyone else dead, meaning there wasn't really any difference in survivability in the end. Both fights would have ended in 1 or 2 turns after victory regardless.
If these videos don't just showcase how good BG is and how little the HP demerit matters, then idk what will.
Small correction:
BGs HP drain would only matter, if sustain takes priority over damage and not only if damage doesn't matter at all.
Like when enemies have high damage resist buffs or invulnerability with low max HP and only take real damage after a lot of turns have passed.
High difficulty quests are actually probably one of BGs best use cases, since enemies have high HP and you take a lot of damage in these meaning you want them to be over as quickly as possible. Which is a scenario where BG excels in like no other CE. And if you can't finish the battle quickly, then you are going to bring sustain units regardless of the CE.
The only scenario where you fulfill the conditions to use BG and would still decide against it, are fights where damage doesn't matter and you really only need to live as long as possible. That is the only time the HP loss would actually matter.
It's really not. In this example it would take 20 Turns to kill them with BG without factoring in enemy damage or your own healing, which is a really long time and usually no fight will take this long if you bring BG and sufficient NP charge.
Now let's say we do take enemy damage into consideration. Even if you have bad luck and no protection for your DPS resulting in them taking around 3k damage per turn, that is only an increase of 1 extra turn that BG will take from you, so 3 turns total instead of 4.
That equals a 25% decrease in potential damage you are able to deal to enemies. Now, most other damage CEs only provide up to 15-20% card damage at MLB. Compare that to 60% NP damage on BG or 80% for a an MLB BG. That's 45%-65% more damage.
So we lose 25% damage from the missing turn and gain 45%+ damage compared to other options, totaling a 20% damage increase at the very least. Not to mention that NP damage buffs are usually rarer than card buffs making them even more valuable.
And this only for like the worst case scenario.
If you have any kind of protection to make your DPS live longer, then the turn count you lose due to BG becomes less and less and the damage advantge more significant.
Based Santa Lily enjoyers
Yes it does, but it's not the 500 self-damage. No one said BG is flawless. We were just arguing, that the *DoT* is not an issue.
Yes, BG needs charge. If you can't provide that (which low rarity Servants usually have problems with), then it's hard and not recommended to use it.
And that is the point. The issue with BG is almost never the self-damage, it's the need for sufficient charge. Therefore making the DoT meaningless in situations, where you are able to use BG.
I'd argue that even in those situations, what made you lose those battles wasn't the 500 DoT, but a lack of NP charge which is by far the bigger weakness that BG has.
The fight doesn't have to be a sprint.
If you deal more damage = the battle is over faster = you take less damage overall. Black Grail actually makes you take less damage than other damage CE options, even outside of sustain team.
Quitting gacha is almost always the correct choice.
By a wide margin this one. Try to level arcueids NP gain skill first for the best results.
All 4 are still good. Ishtar will feel a bit lacking at NP1 though, if you are planning on using her as an omni farmer.
Your best chances would be with the Melu and Ryouma banner, since you have a 2/3 chance to get someone you want, compared to a 1/6 or so chance in the other banners
Usually I would say take the caster bannner, however, with summer 7 coming up right after this both Skadi and Merlin get a new upgraded version of themselves. Depending on how deep you are planning to whale on these banners it might be more worth to roll for waifus here. Plus Da Vinci and Summer Nero aren't the greatest if you're not into them.
Although Caster 1 is probably still your best bet, since Caster Skadi works great with Summer Skadi, Merlin is better for buster centric immortal teams and Illya at NP2 might be helpful for upcoming 90++ farming quests.
Reading only a little every day instead of in one go doesn't make it less shit, at most slightly more bearable.
