Cmon man. i just said Orion is one of the worst SSRs to get and that she needed a buff. You keep telling me this and that servants also has no upgrades that somehow justifies her having no skill upgrades. All of the servants you listed have some sort of niche esp Waver who is the best perm support you can start the game with. Kintoki is still a solid option for 3-1-3 farms, jack is niche for female killer and stargen earlygame/story, cu alter has his dodge shenanigans to carry you through some part of story. Ishtar used to hit like a wet noodle but her np upgrade and koyan system really carried her damage and CD.

Orion is still shit when you can literally start the game with Euryale. Period. She's trash, she needs a buff for a oldest perm year 1 SSR. Let it go.

^She is a Year 1 servant and im not even comparing her to poster childs perm SSRs like Artoria or Jeanne or even DOUBLE np upgrade Vlad. Im comparing her to relics of the past like Scherenzarde, Xuanzang. Even Bradamante has had both NP and skill upgrades. There was plenty of opportunities to upgrade her, they just dont.

Theres no good justification why she shouldnt have one and the reason 'lots of servants dont have skill upgrades' is not a good excuse for a year 1 perm SSR.

Overall, most qualified deletable servant and THE perm SSR who deserved a buff the most.

Orion(Artemis). Absolutely redundant unit when Euryale exists. Its crazy how much they forgot her when she hasnt had a SINGLE skill upgrade.

Theyre my goto now anytime im up against 7knights class and for 90++. Only when im bored i switch in the proper class.

But if you must have an archer class then i vote Artoria Archer. I like how all rounder she is with the heal, def buff and np gauge decrease and arts is my favourite team. Good ol reliable.

Honestly white day is your best bet if they would stop being lazy rerunning old male servants+new costume.

There is no place for him in anni and new year that are mostly reserved for non story related servants(with rare exception)

A quick google search and taking a look at the viewcount of Beginner's Guides (not 3t videos) 2023/2022, while popular games like genshin and the new star rail have 10x the view count, FGO is doing about as well as GranBlue and ArkKnights. VS newer games like cookierun, afkarena and honkai impact is still relatively similar. Averaging 30k viewcount for new player guide seems to be the highest these games can go with some rare outliers. FGO reddits and discord servers are still active, impossible to go even a few hours without a new thread/update. New fanarts are a dime a dozen. I never said they had to be the hottest thing and trending everyday like genshin impact but its not as dead as suggested.

Revenue ratio FGO brings in all 3 versions bring in, JP is ~80% while CN is ~15% and EN is the rest. While spending might not be indicator of new players, revenue is also the lifeblood of the game. A useable indicator on the activeness of players.

Friendlist wise, theres always active players seeking mutuals theres dedicated servers for that. friendlist is pretty active with 10/100 of them being super whales. Theres new players (lvl 50+) adding every other day and some i see they are trying to play the game without the busted supports while most them are lvl 100+.

While the game is slowing down and most likely have a 2 3 year left, we're still not entering into the casket yet. I played games deader than current FGO but more alive than OP's screenshots.

Just opening a level 1 account and regarding it as THE ABSOLUTE STATE OF JP sounds like modern journalism to me. It does get my attention tho.

If you really want to gauge if game is still popular just look at the fanbase. Are people talking about it online, are there lots of new fanarts, fanfic etc. Are there lots of FGO videos still made on the JP server. If there is then new players come naturally attracted to these things. For me, i joined year 3 of FGO and only joined because i was interested in Melt's design(saw some beautiful fanarts by fav artists). Then i just got into it. By then they already finish Solomon but that was none of my concern because im new. I didnt know they were going to continue the story or it already ended. I just played what is currently available, raised and rolled everyone i like.

I went all in on Tiamat since she was one of my most wanted and NP2 Draco for gameplay reasons.

When you initially make everyone play by the rules of 1 advantage 1 resistant rest neutral (calvary and knights) then introduce zerkers who don't. Then zerkers become best class because more coverage. Their demerit is minimal when damage is everything. Now less people will want to pull for the OG classes. Guess who wants to make more money. Then it became avengers who have high atk stat all the way to now Beast. Who by right we should never been able to summon because humanity's evils.

And yes, I'm tired of it and it is quite cheap even if you tell me Draco summoned herself when I used my own quartz.

Though that has nothing to do with her design and my fondness of Nero in general.
