Even with level 120 Kama, I barely won against that Cerberus. Just to show how stupid Super Recollection Quest is.
Even with level 120 Kama, I barely won against that Cerberus. Just to show how stupid Super Recollection Quest is.
Once again, Kama proves why she's the best. I can 4T this easily with a bit of support, ha ha 😂😂.
Thanks to @Iczer9 for his Bunyan. Really helps me against those enemies 👍
While the Cerberus can be a pain with his NP seal spam at the start of each turn (more likely if one of your servants has full NP bar), the real problem to min-turn this battle is dealing with wave 1 in a single turn: we are facing three enemies (while the Cerberus call for a single target DPS), with different classes/traits/attributes (none of which is the same as the Cerberus) and very high HP values (considering an AoE DPS has to deal with them on the first turn).
We have four options here:
1) Arash with a ST Berserker: the “easiest” option since Arash can deal with the two Atlantis Guards with minimum help from supports and free the party slot immediately, while the ST Berserker can deal with both the Lancer enemy and Cerberus afterwards. Vlad (crit synergy), Galatea (debuff clear each turn for the party to avoid the Cerberus NP seal) and Kriemhild are the best DPS option here.
2) AoE Berserker as the only DPS: in order to concentrate all the buffs on a single DPS, you can use an AoE Berserkers to deal with wave 1. This strategy is tailormade for Summer Ibuki since she has super effective damage against the Cerberus, on top of crit synergy to finish him off with her cards (more RNG for cards).
3) ST Berserker as the only DPS: more RNG right from the start compared to the previous strategy, since you’ll need a Brave Chain for your Berserker to kill wave 1 using Crit-NP-Crit chain. At least dealing with the Cerberus is easier since you have a ST DPS
4) Douman/Summer Kiara/Nitocris with a ST Assassin/Berserker/Alter Ego DPS: heavy RNG in the first wave to insta-kill all the enemies. Douman is the best buffer for the primary DPS (especially since a lot of the strongest primary DPS for this battle are chaotic evil), while Nitocris has the highest insta-kill chance if you bring an overcharge CE like Demonic Bodhisattva (Kiara is the middle ground between the two for team buffs & insta-kill chance with enough overcharge). To help with insta-kill RNG, First Hassan is the best choice (wasting his skill 3 on wave 1 he can guarantee the insta-kill for Douman on the two Saber mobs), followed by Shiki (she can only help with the lancer mob insta-kill); other primary DPS that can help Nito or Kiara with overcharge skills are Kama & Bunyan.
How to deal with Cerberus NP Seal spam?
As its first action every turn (he will always attack with the other two actions), the Cerberus has a chance of using his “Bronze Roar” skills which inflict NP seal on the entire party. To be precise he has 30% chance of using it every turn, which increase to 36% - 42% - 46% for each break bar respectively, if at least one team member has full NP bar. This effect on the enemy is another good example as to why min-turning a CQ is usually easier than stalling with Castoria.
There are quite a few Assassin/Alter Ego/Berserker DPS that can work in this fight and can deal with the NP seal debuff if unlucky (with either debuff clear, limited debuff immunity or increased debuff resistance): the most notable ones are Galatea which can clear the debuff every turn for the entire party, and King Hassan or Penth that are immune to debuffs for the whole fight (if you min-turn it).
*** *VLAD 4 TURNS SCRIPT* ***
- TURN 1: with my exact comp you’ll always clear wave 1 with NP only (remember that Vlad is grailed & partially gold foued, both him & Castoria are NP3, and Arash’s CE is lv100 for max atk stat). Save Arash NP for last to get max overcharge on him and don’t forget to use his star gen buff to guarantee a crit turn for the Cerberus
- TURN 2: with 50 stars available all cards will crit. You’ll need at least one Arts for Vlad (57% chance) to refund enough and break Cerberus.
To help with damage you want to recharge Castoria NP bar to use it on either turn 3 or turn 4: just one Arts card for Castoria will be enough either here or next turn (given the guaranteed crits, Arts chain or Oberon team charge on turn 5).
- TURN 3: once again you will have 50 stars. If you charged Castoria NP the previous turn, you have 70% chance of breaking Cerberus with Vlad NP alone; otherwise (no Castoria NP) you’ll have 60% & 70% chance of break respectively with Vlad’s Arts & Buster cards.
PS: Cerberus will have one hit of Invincibility from this turn, so one card will be wasted to remove it before Vlad NP. This means that if you use Castoria NP, you’ll need to kill with Vlad NP alone.
- TURN 4: once again you will have 50 stars. Assuming double Castoria NP, you have 75% chance to kill with Vlad NP alone. If you used Castoria NP the previous turn (so you can use one card aside the one to waste Cerberus invincibility), you can guarantee the kill with any card from Vlad after his NP.
PS: The probability of getting at least one Arts card for Castoria on either turn 2 or turn 3 (assuming Waver dies on turn 3) is almost 98%, so it’s a really consistent strategy to use.
Even after all those buffs, Medea barely reach 200k. I'm sorry, but that NP damage is ****.
With Caster servants having 0.9 atk modifier and low atk stats in general, you are better off using a Berserker or Alter Ego DPS for this battle. If you want to min-turn, you’ll also need a DPS with crit synergy, since you’ll need to deal almost 700k damage with your cards after triggering Charlotte Guts on turn 3 with your NP.
Among Arts DPS Vlad is the best choice for a min-turn: he has by far the lowest RNG for cards required among all other DPS options for this fight. Caster Charlotte can only skill seal her assassin counterpart two times by herself (with RNG) and her crits are nothing to write home about, so I would avoid her.
Quick has some very good DPS for this battle. Okuni is the only caster I would recommend using, since she is very crit focused and can use her 100% crit buff on both turn 1 & turn 3; her gains are also excellent, so she has an easier time refunding compared to other quick options. Melt is slightly worse than Okuni, since she deals less damage & her gains are just a bit lower, but she still easily works. Heroine X Alter has a power mod for this fight, but unlike Okuni and Melt she doesn’t ramp over multiple turns, and she lack permanent/big crit buffs (and no NP charge skill to help with refund). Finally, Bazett is always a particular case: while she can technically clear the battle one turn earlier, she needs to clear Charlotte first hp bar with her crits alone (more RNG) and given her permanent taunt you won’t be able to rotate your supports like other DPS.
Buster DPS are “nerfed” in Super Recollection Quests, since you can’t bring double Koyan to double cast their skills: furthermore their supports offer less overall charge (compared to Arts & Quick), so you’ll struggle to refill your NP bar, in particular if you also need the right card to deal enough damage with your crits (not just to refund). Buster as usual has the higher number of options available, but I think none is better than the Quick/Arts options mentioned above.
*** *VLAD 3 TURNS SCRIPT* ***
- TURN 1: Vlad has 90% chance to break Charlotte with NP only (keep in mind that he is NP3 with grails & gold foues). Vlad refund enough with his NP (Charlotte can attack only Castoria).
- TURN 2: Vlad will break Charlotte with NP only, but he needs at least one Arts card to refund (57% chance). You’ll have around 40 stars here (with Crane stars gather rate up), so an Arts crit from Vlad is doable. If you can’t crit with your single arts card, you’ll need a brave chain for Vlad (with an Arts card) to refund enough: both Arts-Arts or Buster-Arts brave chain will refund enough without crits.
Charlotte AI will only attack two times after break (she will use a skill as her first action), so the taunted support servant may survive if it lacks class disadvantage against Charlotte. Reines is the safest option here, as she will charge Vlad enough without needing her def up skill (which could prevent her death).
PS: Charlotte has 20% chance of using her “Angel of Assassination A” skill, which gives her Evade (2 times, 3 turns) ruining the min-turn for Vlad.
- TURN 3: thanks to Lady Avalon crit buff (more than 50 stars on field), any brave chain from Vlad aside NP-Quick-Arts will kill without RNG (49% chance of getting the correct brave chain). To be precise even NP-Quick-Arts chain can kill Charlotte, but the damage roll is very tight (10% chance)
PS: Oberon could charge Vlad here without needing the RNG for his Arts card on turn 2. However, on the last turn you need crit damage buffs in order to finish Charlotte with your cards after her Guts triggers, so Oberon is not remotely close to the damage buffs Lady Avalon can provide for Vlad cards. Douman is another strong option instead of Lady Avalon (since Vlad is chaotic evil), but Lady Avalon requires less RNG for refund thanks to her charge skill.
Santa Karna is our best free option for this battle and the best option in general if you don’t have any 5 stars ST Saber at higher NP levels: Quick DPS are very good at CQs now, since the double Skadi combo offers great consistency for both NP damage & crit damage, as well as big NP charge & stars supply.
If you are willing to spend Command Spells for this fight, you can also use Astraea as main DPS since she has the highest NP damage for this fight: the problem is that you’ll need to kill with your super effective NP alone, since her crits won’t really help without class advantage. In a team of Astraea (MLB Black Grail), Crane, Martha (50% charge CE), Lady Avalon, Castoria (50% CE) you’ll need two command spells to charge both Astraea & Martha on turn 4, since even with Crane’s taunt Astraea won’t refund enough even after eating 3 attacks from Caenis; furthermore she needs overcharge to deal enough damage, so charging Martha also further help reaching the threshold.
*** SANTA KARNA 4 TURNS SCRIPT ***
- TURN 1: you need at least three Super Orion cards, but not all five of them (16.7% chance)
- TURN 2: you need at least one Super Orion card (77.8% chance if you had three cards the previous turn, 50% chance of you had four cards before).
Use Orion’s Guts to produce enough stars for Crane NP; don’t worry he will die regardless since Caenis AI will only attack the first two turns (no skills that take up an action).
PS: The overall probability for drawing the required Orion’s cards on the first two turns is 12.5%
- TURN 3: you need at least one Buster or Quick card for Karna (84.6% chance).
If you draw a Quick card use Karna skill 2 here: at lv9 skills for Karna (like me) you have 95% chance of breaking Caenis with a Quick crit; you will also refund more than half your NP bar so Skadi charge will be enough next turn (you don’t need Karna targetable charge skill, which can be used on Martha if you can’t lore both her charge skill and her append; not really a problem if you are at max master level since you can just use Imaginary Element CE on Martha)
If you draw a Buster card you have (always at lv9 skills) 75% chance of breaking Caenis, but you’ll need to be attacked twice by Caenis next turn to refund enough (Caenis AI will always attack at least two times here), using both Karna & Skadi charge skills. You can set this up by using Crane taunt (charge skills) on turn 2, but you are risking for Caenis to not kill Orion: if you are doing it, I suggest using MLB Fragment of 2030 CE on Crane to produce enough stars for her NP without using Orion Guts (Orion brave chain on turn 1 can produce more than ten stars), which can save him if Caenis only attack him once (on average Caenis should attack Orion twice & Karna once, since Orion taunt has 600% weight while Karna taunt has 300% weight, so even with his Guts Orion should die).
- Turn 4: assuming lv3 new Plugsuit Mystic Code, you have many options to kill Caenis depending on your cards.
If you have Karna brave chain, you’ll always kill (only with his Arts & Quick cards combo you have a very small chance of failure and only if you used Karna’s skill 2 on the previous turn to buff his Quick card crit damage).
If you didn’t use Karna’s skill 2 on the previous turn, you can kill with only one Quick card from Karna (90% chance).
If you have a Mighty Chain available, you can kill with only one Buster card from Karna (80% chance).
PS: If Caenis has attacked Karna after using her Pillaging Spear B skill (she can only use it once as her first action on turn 3 if you follow this script), you can remove the attack debuff using the new Plugsuit Mystic Code on the final turn (Karna can also use his charge on himself the previous turn to be immune to this debuff, only if you had a Quick card to refund enough as stated above).
The cutest Berserker is once again on the action!
Obligatory Kama Solo. Man, she's just lovely, as always.
For some reason Caenis really liked constantly attacking the same servant with all of her attacks each turn so had a couple close calls, but effortless other than that.
