If you want to talk about fun but not well functioning teams, go away, start your own post. This post is about good healers, and my point is, a healer with teamwide-gut-distribution should be compared with another one with TGD, because the 1-gut/no-gut ones can't do their jobs. Since you were making an argument about teamwide gut being "niche" and "in trouble after it saves you", I gave you some counterproofs.
The reason I gave you my team build as an example is because it's a well functioning team that can, with patience, win most battles, which makes it not niche at all. And you don't have any problem after the gut saved you, as every 3 turn a new shield of anti-purge will be distributed. It is fun, but fun is not the point here.
Castoria's anti-purge cannot block instant-kills and can be stripped off within 1-2 turns if someone is unlucky enough. That is when TGD kicks in.
Also, guts is not counted as a def buff, so they are good at handling def-buff-removals. While anti-purge, is a def buff.
Sorry, but I have no idea what you're talking about about at this point. Miyu teams are extremely functional. They aren't just fun meme teams. I use them for pretty much every CQ. I see no reason why you should only be comparing Iri to other healers with guts. You should be comparing to whatever healers OP has. That's why I said to compare her to free ones if you want to give general advice. Unless of course you consider the guts and not the heal to be her best use case, but then you have very few servants to compare her to.
>>Miyu teams are extremely functional.
Well how are you going to deal with instant-kills/defence removals/enemies focusing on one target, causing the anti-purge run out faster than others... then? They occur quite often.
>>I see no reason why you should only be comparing Iri to other healers with guts.
Because, the most distinctive thing about her is guts for everyone! She does a gut-distributer's job, she competes with other gut-distributers. HP-NP regenerators such as Merlin, Miyu and Andersen, got their roles as regenerators. You cannot substitute a gut-distributer with a regenerator without further mod, or vice versa.
>>Unless of course you consider the guts and not the heal to be her best use case, but then you have very few servants to compare her to.
Exactly. That is what I kept saying. Her only rival is Asclepius, who is better in almost every way.
Gut distribution can provide an extra safety net which evasions and its advanced variants cannot provide. While HP healing, let's face that, is not really important in FGO at all. Just like what you said, Miyu provides NP which allows Castoria to spam her NP...It's not even about HP! It's more about NP. You didn't even use her like a healer. She acts like a charging cable.
>>You should be comparing to whatever healers OP has. That's why I said to compare her to free ones if you want to give general advice.
I do not know whatever healers OP has. The OP didn't say.
I should not be comparing to whatever they has. The question was is she good. So I should compare her with all her rivals, and give an evaluation on is she good or not. And my answer is that she is not as good as her only rival.
Compare the servant with everybody else, and let the OP decide (according to their servants and budget) are they going to top up or not. That's a general advice. Considering what a person have is not general, it's specific.
Guts for all allies is not for support. It's mainly for Survival. There are servants without defensive buffs or survivability, sometimes the enemy has ignore invincible, sometimes the enemy can remove defensive buffs. In those situation, having guts is great.
The problem with irisviel is the competition, who are free as well. She's a healer who gives team guts (which is not that valuable anyway because hers is only 1k revive) but asclepius is leagues better at that, he gives way more healing and has great utility on top of that. He's not that hard to get either, if you can afford some rolls on white day.
And if we bring up her team np dmg up, well, there is a servant who heals the team and has dmg ups for the team as well, hans, who offers signifanctly more value than her overall.
Basically, she offers too little for her cost, and other very accessible servants are better at what she does.
Irisviel, for all her flaws compared to a newer 3* servant, does have one advantage at this point. You don't need to wait for a rate up or try the Story Banner and hope. You just spend some Leaves on her.
There WAS one CQ where she was a dealbreaker. Nowadays she's more nice to have.
The CQ is the Arash one from Nero Fest, right? You can even just run Double Mash + Boudica, and you'll be fine.
If I remembered right, having all 3 Servants with the Guts status is the most effective way to survive the Verg Avesta.
Ok, I forgot that one ;-)
Then there at least two:
I was talking about the Assassin one, where they killed their killer in return.
What do you think?
