Oh yes. There's also Andersen who is even cheaper and still healing people.
But guts is much much more useful than most healing methods, especially as a solution for enemy NP with piercing effects.
And so far she and Asclepius are the only ones who can distribute >1 guts at once.
Don't forget about Scheherazade :P
Not quite spammable as the above mentioned, but she does have it
I actually don't think partywide guts is that valuable. Especially in Arts teams. It can be in niche situations, but usually if your entire party gets guts activated at once, it's a sign you're in trouble even if it saves you. The problem is the turn doesn't end if there are surviving servants, and the servant who gets saved by guts can still die with following attacks if you get bad RNG. It's much more valuable in solo/last man standing situations, or if you have a taunter. It's still nice to have, and can be the difference in battle, but you can't rely on it to save you in a full team situation. I definitely prefer stronger heals and offensive buffs, or hard defense.
It depends how you use it. Aziz obviously uses a certain 3* Caster in his teams regularly, and has gotten through some troublesome situations with it.
It isn't how I'd build a team, but as long as the player is enjoying themselves, that is what matters.
Not that trouble or niche, I would say.
Remember you can use evasion/invincibility/anti-purge together with guts. So for enemies with a piercing AOE but not a piercing buff, anti-purge*3 + gut grants survival.
This technique is also useful when facing enemies with instant-kills, as anti-purge can shield off damages but cannot block instant-kills.
BTW, (I am not recommending this team build to others, just giving an example) one of my favourite team is Castoria, Chen, Asclepius. In order. It works for most enemies with no buff-removal/seals, but best when the boss don't have an AOE as default move.
Castoria's gut will be used for...well, obvious but unspeakable things, and she won't have any gut for most of the time. So in emergencies, for example when she runs out of anti-purges before the others, or when the enemy is going to launch an SE instant-kill, Chen might be able to save her by scapegoating himself as he is very likely to have an unused gut(he used to take care of both of his teammates, so Asclepius gutting himself really releases some burden from him). This team is only functioning because Asclepius is distributing guts for everyone, and everyone is Arts-focused in this team.
It is also the team I intended to use Iris, BTW. but never had any chance.
Yup, definitely. That's why I always use Miyu, who isn't typically considered to be at the top of the list of best healers, but definitely the most fun to me with the ramp up effects. Realistically, any NP healer is enough to get the job done, and with her buff Iri is included in that list.
Miyu only guts herself, that makes her unable to get lots of jobs done. Besides, she only guts herself for 3 turns every 6 turns.
Enemy Li Shu Wen can instant-kill one of your three frontline servants every 3 turns. Could be her, could be others. Could be her when her gut is not ready yet.
I'm not talking about guts at all now. I'm talking about fun teams. My Miyu almost never makes use of her guts. It's a last resort skill which is more useful for the debuff immune than the guts, which is unreliable due to what I said before regarding bad RNG. Unless it's a solo run, which I've done with her. Pair her with Castoria and you're constantly spamming NPs and almost never taking hits. She's also good in Quick teams for the quicker NPs and healing. More often than not my runs with her end up with 0 HP lost. Instant death is irrelevant, because I always use Instant death immune teams in those battles which are extremely rare to begin with.
If you want to talk about fun but not well functioning teams, go away, start your own post. This post is about good healers, and my point is, a healer with teamwide-gut-distribution should be compared with another one with TGD, because the 1-gut/no-gut ones can't do their jobs. Since you were making an argument about teamwide gut being "niche" and "in trouble after it saves you", I gave you some counterproofs.
The reason I gave you my team build as an example is because it's a well functioning team that can, with patience, win most battles, which makes it not niche at all. And you don't have any problem after the gut saved you, as every 3 turn a new shield of anti-purge will be distributed. It is fun, but fun is not the point here.
Castoria's anti-purge cannot block instant-kills and can be stripped off within 1-2 turns if someone is unlucky enough. That is when TGD kicks in.
Also, guts is not counted as a def buff, so they are good at handling def-buff-removals. While anti-purge, is a def buff.
Sorry, but I have no idea what you're talking about about at this point. Miyu teams are extremely functional. They aren't just fun meme teams. I use them for pretty much every CQ. I see no reason why you should only be comparing Iri to other healers with guts. You should be comparing to whatever healers OP has. That's why I said to compare her to free ones if you want to give general advice. Unless of course you consider the guts and not the heal to be her best use case, but then you have very few servants to compare her to.
What do you think?
