In my opinion, yep, it's mostly about concept. That's how they defeated God Arjuna, that's also how they defeated Greek Gods in LB 5.

Yeah, one of the coolest things is seeing two figures from different stories fighting. But the Fate power system rarely really allows simple direct “vs” fights. What I mean is usually there are outside factors. Like how capable a master is, or how much magical energy is available. Or conceptual advantages or disadvantages.

Im not really complaining. Conceptual advantages allows generally weaker people to do pretty awesome things. We get things like Napoleon shooting ***** with a giant cannon, or Drake fighting ******** and stealing their *****. Which is such a cool feat.

Theoretically quite strong given that she is also sort of the basis for enchantress/witch types of characters.

However, Morgan is sort of the more well-known version of an enchantress in the modern times, while Circe has a much smaller role in the Illyad, amongst other Greek literature.

That is actually important, at least as far as I gathered from the original lore. The more well known they are, the more power they have when summoned. Not sure if it is as true in FGO's system though.

It's probably also why Louhi is stronger as well, given she is sort of more the basis for the modern witch. Just, loli-fied.

Yeah that makes sense. Fame is kinda hard to gauge. Especially for characters like Morgan. For as important as she is in Arthurian myth. Im pretty sure her actual story changes quite a bit in different iterations of the myth. That said I’ve never actually read it myself so I could be wrong.

Game-wise and lore-wise, she's better Medea, as simple as that.

In HGW:

Medea relies on Rule Breaker, stole other Master's Servant, to elevate her advantage.

Of course, this approach means it most effective when the Masters are newbie with powerful Servants that hardly think.

Circe have nothing like that but anyone careless, especially with low Magic Resistance will easily transformed into pig. Naturally it came with risk of exposing her identity, but its easier to expect her to be one of HGW finalists, either by transforming Master or Servant to pig like what happened to Iori.

Outside that, Morgan is stronger by merit of access to relics like Rhongomyniad, not to mention some mages dedication to preserve Arthurian Myth.

As a Servant, Circe is better because she's willing to listen to others even if that person wasn't her type. Morgan OTOH wouldn't give a damn to her Master wishes.

I guess that's means Caster isn't really that powerful. Or maybe trickier to use.

That's the thing about Spirit Origins in Fate, they often focus on a particular aspect of a heroic spirit, instead of giving you the full package.

That's why servants like Medusa have so many variants, each focusing on a different part of her story/character.

Circe's powers are limited to her most famous aspect, which is turning men to pigs with her porridge. That's how we see her in the game.

At her full potential, I think she was able to foresee the future, cast illusions, and had an extremely high calibre for potions.

However, I don't think she really competes with Morgan, not with the LB6 one atleast. For the actual Arthurian Legend's Morgan, yep, Circe could definitely pose a challenge, since that Morgan is a great witch, but only a scehemer at heart.

LB6 Morgan is a force of destruction, with many, many weapons at her disposal, including but not limited to Rhongomyniad lances, which are essentially tactical missiles, and portals that have pseudo time traveling abilities.

Well, Circe was one of the few Servants who could resist that Tsuchimikado's brainwashing magic in the "Waxing Moon Ritual". ┐(￣～￣)┌
