I had to rush LB7 in a few days in order to access Ordeal Call content, so I had to skip all the story (which I want to enjoy at my own pace).
Fortunately, I didn’t get any new spoiler from these battles that I hadn’t already gotten just by browsing on Youtube during the past two years, so I don’t think you’ll lose anything from watching this video even if you have yet to clear LB7 yourself.
DETAILED TIPS FOR EACH BOSS BATTLE:
· LB7 1.2 - Boss Olga (Bazett 2T)
Not really a challenge, but it’s one of the few times you get to fight with Olga: she takes 1.0x damage from all Classes, so use who you want as DPS.
· LB7 3.5 - Boss Kingprotea (Vlad 3T)
Vlad is the only main DPS with the “Defender” trait to prevent Kingprotea party shuffle at the start of the battle.
· LB7 6.2 - Boss Olga & Kirei (Bazett 2T)
Bazett is not needed to min-turn, I used her for bond reasons alone. The two Berserkers have unlimited Guts, but once at least one is triggered twice, both the Beast Class and the targeted Berserker will leave battle, with the Guts removed on the other Berserker.
· LB7 8.5 - Boss Beni (MHXX 3T)
The boss has a 50% chance to inflict instant death on normal attacks, so if worried you should use taunt CE to protect your main DPS.
· LB7 10.2 - Boss Izcalli (Morgan & Bazett 1T)
Among AoE Buster DPS (that will bypass the archer mob damage resist vs Quick e Arts) that have class advantage against Izcalli (Berserker or Mooncancer), Morgan is the best choice: she provides the best buffs for the team (atk up, def down, overcharge) and she has super effective NP against man attribute (all enemies).
I used Skadi NP at the end of the chain because after break Izcalli starts removing 1 buff with every normal attack, so if you use Bazett NP as last in the chain he will remove her Taunt with his first attack and the second one will target a random party member instead of Bazett (here he used a skill instead of attacking as first action after I resetted the RNG).
The saber mob with the break bar has a small chance to use a skill to buff himself (not triggering Bazett’s counter): that’s why I resetted the RNG with Bazett skill.
· LB7 10.3 - Boss Taloc (Bazett 1T)
Tlaloc has a dangerous skill that Stuns the entire party every turn (including before acting on the 1st turn) for every Servant that does not have the “Levitating” trait.
The best way to avoid it in a min-turn setup is using CE with debuff immunity: it is also possible to bypass this stun by bringing NPC Nemo, but he is a dead weight in this fight otherwise.
Keep in mind that the stun is not removable once it lands and since the formation is locked with Mash and friend support in the frontline, they will get stunned if not immune to it.
Ideally you could find a support Skadi with debuff immunity CE, but Gogh (in her third ascension only) has the “Levitating” trait and the buffs she provides are comparable to Skadi’s.
· LB7 17.6 - Boss Camazotz (Bazett 2T)
Definitely the most difficult fight of this Lostbelt: Bazett can work at lower investment, for example my NP2 lv108 copy can do it, but there is a bit of RNG for the damage required (on top of everything else going on during this battle).
It’s easier to meet the damage checks with the crits on turn 1 if you give Poster Girl CE to Bazett, but damage will be lower on the final HP bar (weaker counters after stacking all buffs on Bazett).
Even with Jane’s third skill, Bazett has only 90% chance to activate her buffs (her NP’s atk buff included) after Camazotz reduces buffs success rate (after the third skill used every turn): the most important buffs to land are her buster and crit buffs for damage to break the boss’s first HP bar, as well as her debuff immunity to avoid the 50% atk debuff on break (which would ruin the following counters before we could remove the debuff).
To break the first HP bar you’ll need either NP-Arts-Buster or Buster-NP-Buster chain: I’ve used “The Merciless One” CE on Nightingale to guarantee Bazett’s refund even with the second chain.
If I had e-sports Jane and Nightingale, they would die after Camazotz normal attacks, since he has class advantage. Instead here I need at least one crit (10% chance) or the boss insta-kill effect (15% chance) to let them die: keep in mind that Bazett must avoid the insta-kill effect, given that her remaining HPs after triggering Nightingale’s Guts will not let her survive Camazotz NP on the following turn (which by the way ignores both evade and defense up buffs).
Wu Zetian is the best choice to deal with Camazotzs’ Guts: in addition to being one of the best supports for Quick DPS, she can provide both buff removal to remove the double Guts on the second break bar, as well as buff block which is the only way to prevent the triple Guts on the final HP bar.
· LB7 19.2 - Boss Tez (Kriemhild 3T)
Bazett can’t clear in 2T here, since her counters can’t break HP bars, similarly to curse/burn/poison debuffs which will leave the enemy to 1 HP.
Use a debuff immunity CE on Kriemhild to avoid the Terror debuff at the start of the battle: she can deal enough damage with her powermod against chaotic enemies and she can remove Tez’s invincibility with her NP every turn.
The only way to avoid Tez’s double break bar Guts (after killing the two saber mobs on turn 3) is using Buff Block (two times), otherwise you’ll need to swap Kriemhild with another DPS with buff removal on their NP: the only options are Mephistopheles and Caster Murasaki, which can inflict 3 times Buff Block or 1 Turn Buff Block respectively.
PS: the order in which you kill Tez and the saber mobs on turn 3 doesn’t matter, since those break bar Guts will activate only at the end of your turn, preventing one break every turn (if not blocked or removed).
In my run I’ve used Ruler Skadi to deal with saber mobs on turn 3, since that way I could charge Kriemhild to 100% even without her facecards on the previous turn (using both Skadi and Kriemhild charge skills), reducing the RNG of the fight: it didn’t matter since Kriemhild managed to refund despite the NP gain debuff applied by Tez after the first break.
PS2: we can’t use Oberon as the AoE DPS on turn 3 together with Mephistopheles, since he will waste one Buff Block to prevent the invincibility buff that his NP inflict on Tez: considering that one Buff Block is already wasted preventing Tez’s invincibility at the end of turn 2, that only leaves one Buff Block remaining which is not enough to block both saber mobs’s Guts on death.
· LB7 20.1 - Boss Ort (Bazett 2T)
Bazett is the best counter to ORT: she has both full class advantage and the highest damage potential against him, on top of being able to win the battle on turn earlier as usual.
· LB7 21 & 22 - Ort Raids
You can SOLO all raids with any ST DPS, even with f2p units: since the ORT has a chance to steal your offensive and defensive buffs at the end of each turn, the best strategy is to charge your NP bar without using any skill and then burst him down in a single turn (Black Grail CE in general or Crit Damage CE for Buster DPS are ideal).
During the second phase of the raids, ORT can also copy your offensive buffs and remove his debuffs (converted in atk buffs for him), but if you burst him down in a single turn following the same strategy as before it won’t matter.
Keep in mind that ORT has slightly higher HP bars in the second phase, so save your strongest DPS for this one.
· LB7 22.7 - Boss Ort (Bazett 1T)
The boss maintains the same passives it had during the raids: the main difference is that the boss will start by swapping to Caster Class on his first turn, and it will swap class at the start of the following turn every time it is hit by an NP (to match the same Class the NP's user is), unless the user is Extra Class, in which case the boss will swap to Foreigner Class.
Once again Bazett destroys ORT, even after it changes his class to Caster of all things LOL.
· LB7 22.8 - Boss Ort Xibalba (Bazett 6T frontline)
Once again Bazett is the perfect counter to ORT (no pun intened LOL): her full class advantage aside, she can deplete ORT’s hit based damage resistance faster than any other standard DPS thanks to her counters (to min-turn this battle it’s necessary to remove all previous damage resistance stacks during the final HP bar, when ORT gets a 3 turn damage resistance which is not hit based anymore).
Furthermore, since ORT will act 4 times each turn (instead of the usual 3 actions), Bazett’s damage potential is even higher than usual given the extra counter (it will only attack 3 times if it uses a skill or his NP at the start of the turn).
Finally, Bazett can easily bypass the Arts card lock that ORT will inflict with one of his break bar effects, since her NP is Quick and she can refund easily using her amazing quick cards (buffed by ORT quick debuff with each counter).
Here I’ve listed some useful tips to clear this battle in 6 turns:
- Save all damage buffs aside Bazett’s crit/charge skill for the final 3 turns, so that they will last until the end when you have to bypass ORT’s damage resistance on the final HP bar
- If possible, use Bazett’s brave chains to reduce ORT’s damage resistance stack faster (important in order to kill in 6 turns)
- Alternate defensive buffs to keep Bazett alive (Castoria’s S3, Castoria’s NP and finally Bazett S3 on the final turn), since ORT’s crits are single target attacks that will always hit Bazett given her taunt
- Don’t waste Bazett NP on the 4th turn when ORT is asleep (no counters if it doesn’t attack)
- On the 5th turn use Bazett facecards with command codes that gives buffs for 1 turn if possible, that way ORT will remove them instead of important damage buffs like the atk buff from Castoria NP
· LB7 23 - Boss Tez (Erice 5T)
You can’t “cheat” with Bazett to finish one turn earlier, since Tez will inflict stun on death even if your DPS has debuff immunity and if you get stunned during the enemy turn (killing with Bazett counters for example) you’ll get stuck for one extra turn, so you’ll end up on turn 5 regardless of what you try.
I definitely went overboard with all the damage buffs given to Erice, bringing a lot of extra supports in the backline, but I wanted to use Erice’s skill twice by exploiting the boss gimmick to reduce your skills cooldown by one every time he kills one of your party members (easy given the damage buffs he gets during this battle).
Keep in mind that you’ll get stunned immediately once his HP reach zero for the first time, so you’ll lose all the following attacks/NPs in the chain if there are any left. Furthermore, while stunned your skills cooldown won’t advance, that’s why I couldn’t use Castoria skills again on the final turn (only Erice got the extra cooldown from Ibuki S2).
