LB6 is ridiculously long - if there was a narratively convenient spot to do it, they could've probably split it like LB5. Or maybe it just felt like it to me because of all the nasty and depressing characters.
Somehow though, despite all that, it's probably the most memorable Lostbelt yet. The story in the other ones feels barebones by comparison. It's like one of those old, long, grim fairytales.
I'm honestly struggling to say i "like" it because, no spoilers, but the world and its people seem more and more rotten by the chapter, which feels a little too real, i guess. It's weird to explain - i can recognize particularly dark stories as good, but i also have very low tolerance for them.
It certainly got the most effort put into it though. If i were to give a vague ranking to all Lostbelts, it'd be Atlantis > Avalon le Fae > Yugakshetra > Olympus > Anastasia > S.I.N. > Gotterdammerung.
Point is, don't skip it. It's like if Perrault decided to say "fuck it" and just write the long, beautiful, disgusting fairytale he always secretly wanted, without worrying about traumatizing the children that would read it.
