UBW only countered Gate of Babylon tho. It is the whole point of cutting Gils arm when he is finally decided to use Ea, as it is not something that could be copied and it would would demolish entire Reality Marble.

Actually, there is a demonstration of what happens if Ea is used against UBW in the series but I don't want risk potentially spoiling things. X)

Also resting your argument on an anime (which, while faithful, cuts lots of parts and/or changes events) instead of the actual source material (the visual novel) is kinda meh.

But yeah as stated above, the argument is invalid regardless, EMIYA would be obliterated by Ea if Gilgamesh had used it from the start.

The whole point of the fight is that Gilgamesh thought he would win using "just" Gate of Babylon, only to realize Shirou managed to counter it as an almost perfect 1 - 1, forcing him to take Shirou seriously and finally pulling Ea.

Which Shirou instantly recognizes as something he can't analyze, copy, or parry, hence why he sprints to cut Gilgamesh's arm before he can use it, otherwise he'd be doomed.

Gil greatest weakness is his arrogance, otherwise that fight would have been over in a nanosecond.

No form of EMIYA has connected with/seen the Root, or opened a new path to humanity (like star attribute servants). He isn't Alien or hasn't constructed his own NP (So no counterpart in Gate of Babylon),

So no it wouldn't be lore accurate to say he isn't weak to Enuma Elish, cause he is.

@Kanmonia no yeah I know. I’ve had ideas for stuff like an NP rework for Emiya where he changes the field to his Reality Marble for a few turns. The marble buffs him (and maybe other variants of him like his Alter and Kuro/Chloe?), (it also changes his animations), and one of the buffs is resistance to a new trait called ‘[Gate of Babylon]’ enemies (like Gil, Gil Caster, kid Gil, and maybe Enkidu).

Also had an idea to replace one of his skills with Rho Aias, or maybe give him a passive skill based around it.

I agree. Someone had to put that greedy company in their place and shows who's the boss. I mean, I don't see any good games from them except maybe FC 24 or EA WRC games, but they also have some flaws too. Just kidding, ha ha.

I think EMIYA has so many battle experience (maybe more against powerful enemies) so that alone can really help him. And since Shirou can learn a thing or two from him, I think both of them can do well.

@Kelosine I know it’s not that good of a source for the continuity, but I don’t speak Japanese and don’t have any device that can run one of the fan translations of the VN. I can’t wait for the remake later this year though.

I would really love to see a Miyuverse Shirou servant, like as an alter ego class. He could just be EMIYA (Alter) (Alter Ego)

Well, ast most people already pointed out, EMIYA's not particularly strong against EA.

UBW just counters GOB. And the reason why EMIYA is a good match against Gil, is because UBW's superior speed overwhelms Gilgamesh, not letting him do anything but defending. Breaking his treasures before they even come out of the gate (as explained in the VN).

But if for some reason this plan fails and Gil somehow manages to use EA, then it would be the End of any version of EMIYA. They don't have anything that can stop EA.
