This comp improves a lot once you can unlock Ranmaru append (once he becomes permanent), since you can use MCs with 10% charge (like the latest Halloween MC) to guarantee the kill in room 1 even with NP1 Sanzang.
Similarly in room 3 damage will improve with NP5 Ranmaru: on average you’ll kill with NP only and in all other cases you’ll finish the job with crits (guaranteed with 50 stars, you don’t even need Ranmaru targetable crit absorb/buff).
As stated in the video, you don’t need to lore Ranmaru S3 for this comp: it’s just my habit of loring at least all NP charge skills on my servants.
