1) For this little experiment, I want to choose (you will see later why):
Summer Nero
And 2x Koyanskaya
2) When choosing your damage CE, which of these 3 is your choice?
Hallween Princess (HP): +20% NP Damage
Aerial Drive (AD): +10% NP Damage, +10% Buster
Cranking (C): +15% NP Damage, +8% Buster
3) And now choose one of those Mystic Codes:
Anniversary Blonde (AB): +60% Buster
Arctic Uniform (AU): +40% Attack, +20% NP Damage
Fragment of Year 2004 (FoY): +50% NP Damage
You made your choice? Good.
Now here is the thing.
As many of us already know, NP Damage, Attack and Buster are not additive, but multiplicative to each other: NP Damage * Attack * Buster.
Now let's see how this works out when using Neros NP!
Therefore we need to know all buffs from our Servants.
Summer Nero: +80% Attack, +20% NP Damage
Koyanskaya: +50% Buster (2x = 100% Buster)
As you can see, both do boost one modifier by a lot. Keep that in mind.
Combining all servants boni together, we get a total multiplicator of x4.32. Now let's pair this number with every CE!
AD will result in a total multiplier of x4.912
HP will result in a total multiplier of x5.04
C will result in a total multiplier of x5.0544
So only by choosing the old Halloween Princess above the famous Aerial Drive will result in a +504% vs +491,2%.
And you guess right, by using the correct Mystic Code, this difference will be noticably higher. Here the Numbers:
+AD +HP +C
Anniversary Blonde x6,318 x6,552 x6,5124
Fragment of Year 2004 x6,804 x6,84 x6,9264
Arctic Uniform x6,93 x7,04 x7,0928
So, did you choose Anniversary Blonde, because "60% Buster Boonga, let's go!"? Congrats, in THIS CASE, it was the worst choice!
Compared to the best choice, we are talking about those Numbers (Np1 + silver fou + lvl15 CE + very effective):
147931 vs 166072 (average damage)
You see, we are talking about up to 18k damage difference per enemy. And that's a number that can make a difference, especially for Wave 3. Of course this difference will grow even more, the higher your NP level and CE level is (217471 vs 244140 with both lvl 100CE + NP2 = 36k+ damage difference).
In this case that means, boosting the already highly buffed Buster stat won't do that much, while spreading your boosts (and especially NP Damage) made a greater difference, even when 10% less bonus (see FoY MC).
So depending on your setup, the choice of your CE, MC and supporter skills will matter. You want all stats as high AND close to each other as possible, not just one or two. Or else you waste a noticable amount of free damage.
Of course all of you already knew that, then thanks for reading up to this point anyway :P :D
