You see, I'm not playing anymore, but I still coming here because I got this feeling FGO 2023 will be amusing. Turned out hilarious PR stunt (Nahui Mictlan delay) happened as soon January started, and now I saw Lasengle, by extension Nasu, not give a damn anymore about FGO value on long run.

From lore standpoint, being tested because of overusing extra class pretty much coming out of nowhere-- under same title, Cosmos in the Lostbelt. Now, Beast is summonable, one as Alter Ego, one as Beast itself, after preparing excuses like Foreigner Koyanskaya and Pretender Vortigern.

No reason to take lore seriously anymore because all the prep time and reading can amount to 'nothing'; well, I didn't consider last three chapters (Olympus, Avalon and Nahui) rewarding, so there's my bias.

From gameplay standpoint ... as a former player, I'd say there's nothing special about them. To powercreep Tiamat kit isn't difficult, look no further than Tezcatlipoca and Kukulkan while Draco is just OG Abigail Mk. 2; they looks strong for no other reason than thanks to majority of general and limited Servants pool being outdated, if not neglected, barely able to compete with newer stuffs.

If you enjoy such state of affair with Lasengle, I won't stop you. I can understand if moderators are happy with it because they don't need to update wiki on EOR pace.

Personally, I found it hilarious this event coincide with Star Rail launch. As if they expected to lose good chunk of playerbase after Golden Week, so better squeeze them while it still on launch, bring the most asked Servant and ST Servant.

Anyone wanted to make guess how long it will be until both of them powercrept?

Powercreep sells, it's as simple as that. They will keep doing it as no one seems to complain about it among the giga whales.

Kinda. I was ok with Ruler to balance Avenger (which comes from the VN, so I'll accept it) but the rest of the extra classes is kinda bullshit. There are some cool servants but nothing that couldn't be added as one of the standard classes. Call me purist, that's exactly what I am.

Ok but for real? I'm ok with Extra Classes. AS LONG AS THE LORE BEING IT IS TIGHT.

Ruler, Avenger, lore is tight as shit, it makes sense.

Foreigner? Sounds dumb, but then they explain it's to categorize a specific kind of madness (and even in game, them beating Berserkers makes sense) that goes beyond what a Berserker would. It's an even more overwhelming madness that encroaches itself with folly. So yeah ok it passes, I'd almost say that the gameplay is the lore justification lol.

But some like Alter Ego (outside of the Sakura 5), Pretender (which should be exclusive to Faker from Case Files, come on), or else are just... So dumb. And thrown in there for no reason...

And now Beast? Out of all the things, BEAST?! As a SERVANT CLASS?!

When you initially make everyone play by the rules of 1 advantage 1 resistant rest neutral (calvary and knights) then introduce zerkers who don't. Then zerkers become best class because more coverage. Their demerit is minimal when damage is everything. Now less people will want to pull for the OG classes. Guess who wants to make more money. Then it became avengers who have high atk stat all the way to now Beast. Who by right we should never been able to summon because humanity's evils.

And yes, I'm tired of it and it is quite cheap even if you tell me Draco summoned herself when I used my own quartz.

Though that has nothing to do with her design and my fondness of Nero in general.
