Partyformation

Your Party is the set of Servants you take into a quest. You can take up to 5 Servants you own as well as a leader Servant from either your Friend List or from a list of random other Masters, or a specific NPC available to the quest you are entering, which becomes your Support Servant. Your party consists of up to 3 Starting Members and up to 3 Sub Members.

Your current Leader Servant and equipped Craft Essence is always the one designated in Party 1. No matter which party you last used, other players will always see your Party 1 leader.

While in the Party menu, tap a blank Select slot or a slot currently occupied by a Servant to choose a Servant from your roster to put into that slot. In the Servant select screen, tapping the Servant already occupying the slot will clear out the slot (はずす). Swipe left and right to edit another party preset. You can maintain up to 10 different party configurations for convenience.

Tap the space between the Servant portrait and the Servant's stats to select a Craft Essence to equip on that Servant. Craft Essences are maintained per party, so you can have the same Servant with a different Craft Essence equipped in multiple parties, or vice versa. Changing the Servant in a slot will automatically move the Craft Essence to the new Servant.

Party menu

After any changes are made to a party, tap 決定 (Confirm) in the bottom-right to save your changes. If you do not Confirm your changes and attempt to 閉じる (Close) the menu, you will be warned that any changes will not be saved and your party will revert to its previous state. You may also not toggle Change mode or swipe to other parties while your party is unsaved.

Your party can be any mix of 5 unique Servants as long as the total cost of Servants and Craft Essences equipped by those Servants is less than your current cost limit. If you attempt to create a party over your limit, you will be unable to save the current party until it is within the limit.

  • The 配置変更 (Change Position) button toggles Change mode, which allows you to drag and drop slots within your party. This lets you choose where your Support Servant goes in your party as well; if you want it as a sub member, you can configure it that way via Change mode.
  • The パーティ選択解除 (Party Deselection) button will clear all Servants OR CEs from your party and allow you to recreate the party from scratch.
PartyOptions
  • The クラス相性 (Class Affinity) button displays a generic chart of how each Servant class interacts with other classes in battle. Ruler and Avenger are not represented in-game. See the class pages for more detailed information on the damage modifiers.

  • The スターティングメンバーコマンドカード確認 (Starting Member Command Card) button displays a summary of the Command Cards for the starting members of the current party. This gives you a way to quickly assess the status of your party if you do not remember what Command Cards your Servants have.

Event Quests

During events, some Servants or Craft Essences may provide bonuses specific to that event. In most cases, these bonuses stack, so having multiple applicable Servants results in a higher bonus. When entering an event quest, your cumulative bonus can sometimes be viewed in the Quest Preparation Party menu (e.g. GUDAGUDA Honnouji Event).

Party Setup Copy

  • Players copy the team setup from one party to another.
  • A single button triggers a pop-up of 4 selections consists of "Party Copy", "Full Party Delete", "Party Name Change" & "Full Party Craft Essence Delete".

Supportformation

Support is a very important aspect of the game mechanics. Since the E Pluribus Unum update, the support servants are more versatile and more useful than ever.
Before the update, there is only one list of support servants and it is the representative of a Master's Lead Servant for Party I. After the update, Masters can now do modification for his/her support servant layout for every single class, including an Class-All-Gold All-class and Class-Extra-Gold Extra-class slot.

On September 8, 2021 JST and October 27, 2022 PDT for Japan and NA Server respectively, the game implemented a new Support System which consisted of 10 different Support Sets and up to 3 different Sets can be set up as Normal Support or Event Support.

Summer2021GameUpdate1

The management screen for Support can be accessed through the Formation Tab of the Main Menu at the bottom, then click the second button for editing your own support servant layout.

After tapping the button from the Formation Menu, it should look similar to the following:

CurrentSupport1

In your support formation screen, there are 3 important aspects:

  • Servant
  • Craft Essence
  • Edit Buttons

Servant

  • There are a total of 9 slots that can be filled with Servants of your choice, based on the class of the slot, except the All-class slot (which can be filled with servants of any class) and the Extra-class slot (which can be filled with Class-Shielder-Gold Class-Ruler-Gold Class-Avenger-Gold Class-Alterego-Gold Class-Foreigner-Gold Class-MoonCancer-Gold Class-Pretender-Gold).
  • Tapping one of the slots will open a screen that shows all the servant of the respective classes in your possession.
  • During an Event, you can filter the Event-related Servants when setting up your Support.

Craft Essence

  • Each class has its own CE slot.
  • The CE slots are located below each Servant.
  • The mechanics of the CE slots are similar to those of the Party Formation screen.
  • During an Event, you can filter the Event-related CEs when setting up your Support.

Edit Buttons

At the bottom of the screen, there are 2 Edit buttons in the bottom left corner, 6 Support Setup buttons in the middle, and the "Confirm" button which saves the changes made in the bottom right corner.

Support-1
  • Change CE Placement (Blue button, bottom left)
    • Tapping this button will allow you to relocate the current CEs in your Set
  • Edit Support (Red button, bottom left), which has extra options:
    • Copy Support (サポートをコピー?): Tapping this button will let you copy the exact same Servant/CE setup to another Support Set
    • Disband Support (サポートを解散?): Tapping this button will empty all slots, Servants and Craft Essences.
    • Clear Name and Disband (サポート名をクリアして解散?): Tapping this button will empty all slots, like Disband Support, and the Support Set name will be reset.
    • Clear Support Craft Essences (サポートの概念礼装をすべて解除?): Tapping this button will empty all CEs set up while keeping the Servants setup.
    • Change Support Name (サポート名を変更?): Tapping this button will let you change the Support Set name.
FGO Edit Menu

  • Normal Support and Event Support Setup Categories (the 6 Buttons in the middle):
    • The first three buttons (encased in a blue border) are Normal Support setup buttons. Tapping one of the buttons will assign the currently displayed Support Set as a Normal Support setup (only available in Main Quest, Free Quest, and Chaldea Gate).
    • The other three buttons (encased in a red border) are Event Support setup buttons. Tapping one of them will assign the currently displayed Support Set as an Event Support setup (only available in and during an Event).
    • You cannot use the same servants twice in the same Category. e.g.:
If you have set Arash in your Normal Setup I he will be unavailable in what you have set as Normal Setup II.
    • There are no restrictions regarding CEs between Sets.

Notes

After making any changes to your support setups, make sure to press the "Confirm" or the changes wont be saved.

Selecting A Support Servant

  • After tapping a quest, you will be brought to a screen where you can choose which support servant you want to use for the battle. After the E Pluribus Unum update, you can now choose from different classes.
  • When doing a Main Quest, Free Quest, or any quest of the Chaldea Gate, the available Support Servants will be from the Normal Support Sets.
While doing an Event the available Support Servants will be of the Event Support.
  • The icon on the left includes the servant Icon, their current level/max level and their equipped Craft Essence.
In the middle their NP name and level will be displayed.
The icons to the right display the servants' deck and their equipped Command Codes, the Skills, Append Skills as well as the respective levels.
  • You can view the Support Servant and CE info by long-pressing the Servant or CE image. Only technical information such as Servant Stats, Skills, NP, and CE effects are available.
  • During an event, you can filter out Event-related Servants, Servants with Event bonus CEs equipped, as well as the individual CEs and whether they are MLB or not.
  • You can refresh the Support List if there are no Servants that suit your needs. The timer shows when you can refresh again.

Saintgraphstorage
SecondArchive Banner

The Second Archive is a complementary storage system in which Servant, Craft Essence, Wisdom and Fou cards can be deposited. The Second Archive is subdivided into two separate archives, one dedicated to Servants, Wisdoms and Fous, and another which is exclusive to Craft Essences; both have certain limitations and properties:

  • Each archive has a maximum initial storage limit of 100 slots.
  • It is possible to expand each individual archive by purchasing an additional slot for 10 Mana Prisms, with a grand total of 100 additional storage slots per archive.
  • The servant archive will only allow for Servant, Wisdom and Fou cards to be stored in.
  • The Craft Essence archive will only allow Craft Essence cards to be stored in.
  • Safe for some exceptions, all the cards can be moved freely between the normal storage and the Second Archive.
  • Any cards stored into the Second Archive will be limited in the following ways:
    • The cards will be unusable while inside the Second Archive.
    • The cards will not appear and thus be unselectable within any menus outside of the Second Archive.
  • Certain Servant and Craft Essence cards will not be eligible to be stored into the Second Archive under certain conditions:
    • If the Servant has been selected for My Room.
    • If the Servant or Craft Essence is within a party.
    • If the Servant or Craft Essence is in a support slot.
  • Mash Kyrielight cannot be stored in the Second Archive.

Trivia:

  • On August 23, 2017 the game servers were put down for indefinite maintenance, Delight Works acknowledged that server data was randomly failing and erasing cards from the Second Archive of several players although said card disappearances had already been reported weeks before the sudden maintenance.
  • Second Archive Expansion was increased from 20 upgrades to 30 upgrades. Maximum limit increased from 200 to 250 in the 10M Downloads Campaign event.
